Cockburn's Special Reserve is a very fine wine selected for its richness and concentration, from the finest vineyards in the Upper Douro and matured in oak casks for five years. Served slightly chilled, it is a perfect wine to enjoy on its own or as an accompaniment to dessert. About: Cockburn's Fine Ruby is a blend of young wines from various years, aged for three years in wood casks and bottled after filtration. Quinta dos Canais is one of the major Douro estates, with a total area of 272 hectares, of which close to 100 are under vine.

A Port with richness and intense concentration as well as a full body and dry finish with medium length. The Cockburn’s lodge has the largest collection of oak barrels and wooden vats of any Port cellar in the historical area of Vila Nova de Gaia. Cockburn’s Vintages have extraordinary length and ‘grip’, a term coined by John Smithes, Cockburn’s brilliant winemaker. Just eight kilometres further upstream is the beautiful Quinta do Vale Coelho, a small 19-hectare property of which two-thirds are planted to vines. A blend of young wines from the high-altitude vineyards, the Fine White is aged in stainless steel for about 18 months. Most the grapes are picked from Cockburn’s own vineyard but a few are specially selected from neighbouring vineyards, all however are pricked from the spectacular upper Douro valley.

The Cockburn's 2007 Vintage is a very intense purple colour Port Wine, with notes of cassis and a dry, elegant finish. A youthful nose packed with rich and concentrated aromas of red fruits, On the palate sweet, well rounded, medium length and with luscious red berry flavours leading to a distinctive dry finish, balanced with fine wood-aged flavours. Year Old Tawny: As the name suggests, this ten-year-old port is a careful blend of the old and young ports. was a tricky vintage for the growers but ultimately, they have been rewarded with super wines with elegance and freshness, good enough for a general declaration.The acquisition was followed by a historic tasting of Cockburn's ports, going back through the decades, aimed at understanding the essence of what made Cockburn's great. This longer wood ageing gives its fruity and full-bodied palate a distinctive dry finish, making Cockburn's Special Reserve the benchmark for all Reserve Ports. Sweet on the palate, well rounded with luscious red berry flavours leading to a dry finish, but balanced with fine wood-aged flavours. Tasting Notes: With rich, full-bodied flavours of raspberry, plum and spice, it retains the red colour and fruit flavour of youth, and is ready to drink when bottled, offering a rich, fruity, sweet taste.
