About this deal

I use it for taking up floorboards, cutting our socket boxes in plasterboard, I even have a Dimond blade for cutting out sockets/ channels in plaster and breeze block. Although I was impressed with my previous unit, the DeWalt unit made it look silly, the power and accuracy was 10 times better and was easy to use for long periods, took a while to get used to the variable trigger speed as my old one had a constant speed selector but this was soon second nature and actually made the job easier. I first bought the corded version when it came out but it was always a pain having to make sure the cord was out of the way so that I didn’t die. Yeah spot on one of my favourite tools, and the one I use is the DeWalt DCS355, it's the brush-less 18 volt multi tool, so yeah check it out. The DCS355 has a dual grip variable speed trigger to give you the ultimate control, and a built-in LED light to illuminate work surfaces in dimly lit areas.

P>These 18V brushless oscillating multi-tools from DeWalt deliver up to 57% more run time over the brushed motor, and also come with a quick-change accessory system that allow blades and attachments to be changed without the use of tools. The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it. The quick change blade system and the fact you are not tied down to expensive own brand blades saves me time and money everyday. There are a few cheaper kits than this, however many of those models might not meet the qualifications for Pro-level tools. Unlike multi tools of other brands I have used, this cuts well and seems to have all the power needed for the applications I’ve needed it for.P>

Other features include the dual-grip variable speed trigger for ultimate speed and application control, plus a bright LED light that illuminates dark work surfaces for accurate cutting. That's one of the first jobs I did with mine, and it was just life changing, and I've used it ever since.

Lead times are shown on the product and trolley pages and are always advertised in working days (Monday to Friday). Great power for a cordless tool, the battery life is very good, quick easy blade change and rotation, overall very happy I decided to go cordless.

Brilliant bit of kit, when I first got it I didn’t think I would use it much but now it’s one of my most used tools, I mainly use it for cutting timber and plasterboard, with the correct blades it works a treat, the dust extraction accessory is a must have! The Dewalt DCS355 18V XR Brushless Multi Tool is part of the popular 18V XR Range and is supplied with 28 accessories. Great locking mech, and brilliant battery life, plus it feels good in the hand, not to heavy or light, but well balanced.

I purchased this multi-tool 2 years ago and i have used it alot, it is very durable and extremely strong buikd, ive dropped it from a roof and nothing was wrong with it, think it did more damage to the floor, but couldnt be happier with this product from dewalt, highly recommend to everyone that asks. The sander works a treat but at full speed the sandpaper starts sliding off which in turn starts wearing the sander pad. Guess I’ll be wearing gloves then and can live with it given it’s other good points This is a really well balanced tool and so easy to use. With a brushless motor, this 18V oscillating tool makes light work of cutting tasks, eliminating the need for time-consuming work by hand. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. If you’ve never had a multi tool then I’d strongly advise getting one, so handy for cutting boards and investigation holes in ceilings/ boarding etc when looking for leaks or cables. The DCS355 features Dewalt's QUICK-CHANGE accessory system allowing blades and attachments to be changed quickly without the use of any additional tools. One fault with it is when your using it for a short period of time a hot spot forms on the back of the handle and becomes irritating to use. I've used this for cutting into wood door frames, cutting plasterboard walls and chopping cooper pipe.
