Changed to from 4 stars to 5 stars based on a one-year-old’s immediate love for this book (and insistence on reading it four more times in a row. I don’t enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy reading some of the other books that Logan has which is why I’ve only given it three stars. Celebrate their unending appeal with Fox's Socks, a beautifully produced board book with a gorgeous shiny-foiled cover look. Everyone knows that owls are nocturnal but one curious little owl decides to take a long nap at night so she can stay awake during the day. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. Please note these are estimated transit times and are based on deliveries between major gateway cities. One of my television songs, A Squash and a Squeeze, was made into a book in 1993, with illustrations by the wonderful Axel Scheffler. As the story progresses, Fox looks in various unlikely locations (revealed by lifting flaps) and locates items of clothing that aren't his socks, but are ultimately going to prove useful in attending whatever this event is.

She likes lifting the flaps, but sometimes finds them a bit stiff and fiddly for her little fingers. I hadn’t seen this book before we got it, so it was nice to have a completely new one for me to read and discover at the same time as Cupar. I’m not sure what shenanigans he must have got up to, to lose a sock in a grandfather clock, the mind boggles. The illustrations are lovely and there is lots of repetition and rhyme that make this an easy to pick up book for those just starting to read for themselves.Lift the flaps and join in the fun with this special anniversary edition of the bestselling preschool classic, Fox’s Socks by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, creators of The Gruffalo. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Her collaborations with the fantastic illustrator Axel Scheffler have led to vivid rhyming stories which are a feast for the imagination. He was the illustrator for Julia Donaldson's first picture book, A Squash and a Squeeze - the start of a hugely successful partnership. Did I read this book just because it's the 26th of december, I'm behind on my Goodreads challenge, and I figured I would be able to read it within thirty seconds?

my grandson is hooked on these books they are superb for small children and they never get tired of opening the doors. I really enjoy getting the children in the audience to help me act out the stories and sing the songs. Very young children will love lifting the flaps to help the fox to find his socks, but they will undoubtedly also point out all the other socks that appear to be lying around the house. This book takes on the story of a fox who has lost his socks and goes around the house trying to find them. The book is short, simple and uses great illustrations to make the book fun and engaging for the reader.
