I’ve only just got the book but have made the Farfalle with mushrooms and spinach, delicious and I’m not that keen on mushrooms. After studying and learning his culinary skills at the Luigi De Medici catering college, at the age of 18 Gino moved to London, England. I used a red spring onion instead of red onion and chives and some leftover vinaigrette rather then just dressing the salad with olive oil which I suspect would be very bland. The big thing about this book is the story of Gino travels as for the recipes, I have only tried two at this time they were both OK but sadly they did not reflect what you see on TV. There is something relaxing and exciting about travelling by train (and I’m not talking about the daily commute). You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Sometimes I adapted the recipes, either to give them my own twist, or to ensure the ingredients were widely available outside Italy. fantastic journey and as I travelled around, I gathered recipes that were authentic, used local ingredients, and for me evoked the places that I visited.
