About this deal

Murphy-Hiscock's wealth of knowledge on herbs and their properties enriched my understanding of their magical and medicinal uses. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages.

At times I felt I was being lead into a deep meditation with sentences like "feel the rough bark of the tree, . Covering everything you need to build your own Hedge Witchcraft tradition, this beginner-friendly book connects you to the wisdom of wild places and inspires you to find enchantment every day. Hedge Witchcraft by Harmonia Saille MUST HAVE (*****)- While this book is a very short and basic introduction to hedgecraft, I believe every witch should read it. At just shy of one hundred and fifty pages, The Hedge Witch is an engaging and well-constructed novella. If you think witchcraft is all about going around dressed in rags, carrying a broomstick, wearing and pointy hat and followed by a black cat then you will need to rethink your ideas after reading this book. I could be wrong in this, and if I am, please be mindful that men, women, and nonbinary folks engage in witchcraft. Anyone interested in hedgecraft can pick up this book and have a general understanding of what a hedgewitch is and how they perform magic. If you’ve already read a few introductions to paganism, witchcraft or druidry and are well under way with your study, then the odds are you know enough not to benefit from this book greatly.

I appreciated her clear explanations of the origins and history of hedge witchery and how she guides the reader through the rituals, tools, and spellwork associated with this path.It explains about rituals and stresses that you can use your own words though the book suggests words which can be used. Having read Cunningham's "Wicca" and "Living Wicca", Hedge Witch by Rae Beth is a lovely follow-on that has a unique feel given it is written in letter form to two students in the late 1980s. She mixes many ancient traditions, including Buddhism, Feng Shui, witchcraft, and more to help you make a happy, prosperous home.

I particularly enjoyed the Shapeshifting Exercise and Journal entries of her day-to-day life as a modern witch in Ireland. This section contains very basic correspondences and how to create your own spells, but she does support the Wiccan idea of harming none.It outlines deities (if you are into that), home magic, rituals, and recipes all hedgewitches should know. There was just the right amount of choice to suit everyone without being overwhelming and I received comments from parents and staff about the quality of books offered compared to previous sales which have always been based around current crazes and well known celebrity authors. r/Witchcraft is a welcoming and inclusive space in which to share knowledge, discuss, ask questions, and further the progression of witchcraft as well as the individual's path. You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot!
