I went home and sprayed Elysium on one hand and Reversed on the other and there was absolutely similarities. But I also think that you don't make a mistake with this perfume, especially since it's quite cheap to get and the fragrance does a solid job on the ground.

Obviously this is a citrus first scent - but the green in the background is where I’m finding similarities with elysium. It's a good gym or fresh out of the shower fragrance, and would probably be refreshing in the high heat. The vetiver is dialled back significantly and is more citrus forward, creating an easy to wear and very uplifting scent. Oh, and whatever the aroma chemical(s) used to create that delightfully subtle drydown, it has lasting power on clothing. It seems where this fragrance went wrong is it tried to mix and match a lot of good aspects from other frags abs unfortunately it just came out blah.

But there's a certain note similar to Al Haramain's L'Aventure that is not listed in the official notes here---I think it's elemi. For me, this Hugo reversed is an amalgamation of several different fragrances I've smelled in the past. For sure I won't offend anyone wearing this scent (even it is over-sprayed which is impossible to accomplish anyway) since no one can smell it on you.

Smelling wiffs of it from my clothes and skin later on, and most of the harshness has worn off and it just smells like a sweet citrus scent. That’s my Go To when I don’t know what to wear in the summer so I just spray this on and get on with my day.The dry down is where this one fails, all citrus goes away and the rosemary is over powering to the point where i got tired of it being on me.
