I can see a really close working (and personal) relationship developing between these two in the future.

Even when workmates are simply polite and tolerate each other, sometimes things are not said but one worker may be blissfully obsessed with another and their affections are taken silently to their grave. Sure enough, someone was in the hall just outside her door, doing something to the door that made a rattling sound. When their most terrifying threat is delivered to her door, Nicole is faced with a dreadful choice: Can she count on the police or must she risk going it alone? I would like to read another Nicole Graves mystery for interest-sake but I am not rushing to follow this one up with the same urgency I have with other books in the past. This was one morning, she thought, she’d be able to treat herself to a leisurely breakfast and have time to read the paper.
