It tastes like if you took a waffle cone and filled it with bourbon soaked German chocolate cake then drizzled it with burnt caramel. Its aromas are radiant, revealing bright white-fleshed fruits (apple, pear, white peach), citrus fruits, floral lime blossom and elegant blond notes (brioche and fresh nuts).

Double Barrel Very Special Old Jacket is a cuvée of barrel-aged English Barleywines aged between one and three years before blending and rebarreling in Templeton Rye barrels for an additional eighteen months. Goose Island poured this beer at the 2009 fest, and drinkers loved it so much we decided we had to bottle it.K. 2023 boasts the most pounds of vanilla per gallon of beer we have ever released, yet showcases an endless depth, complexity and integration by allowing the time and barrel selection to direct the final experience without becoming sugary sweet or confectionery. On the nose, this champagne combines aromas of white fruit (apple, pear, white peach) and citrus (lemon) with subtle floral (lime blossoms) and pastry (brioche and fresh nuts). Whereas BBT 2017 spent a little less time in barrel, the additional average age for the 2018 blend let the rich chocolate and sweet coconut notes of the beer and oak come forward a bit more, resembling some of the older, non-adjunct Derivation Blends. After about 14 months in those casks, we selected and blended the best of what our barrels had to offer, then introduced this blend to a handful of 21 year Elijah Craig barrels for 14 more months.

The list shows the top beers, based on our weighted average formula, which effectively rates all beers against each-other.Kentucky Brunch takes time and care to mature, and those that take the time and care in pouring the beer will experience the development of a delayed-release, mocha hued head. We are excited that we could blend up this beer for you - to express our barrel-aging program from a slightly different angle and to offer up BBT more than once this year! The result is exactly what we had set out to produce and we are honored it is worthy of the Beer : Barrel : Time name.
