The grapes undergo a slow and controlled fermentation with periodic pumping over to extract colour and aromas. In 1973, a group of friends united by their love of gastronomy had a mission to create great wines to complement their culinary creations. Made from our prized, old vine grapes, our Gran Reserva develops depth and complexity after spending more than two years aging in French oak barrels, followed by a further three years careful resting in bottle before release. The new Rioja winery is something of a sustainable architectural masterpiece, with every aspect of the design, building materials and day-to-day functions ensuring the lightest possible footprint is left on the land. On the palate, it is equally complex, with sweet flavours of vanilla and milk chocolate, from the American oak, standing out.
