About this deal

This updated version of the H7 keeps everything that made the H7 great while expanding its performance by including a fourth heatpipe. And this is what the cooler looks like installed on the motherboard and inside the case ready for testing.

Read on for the full review, where we look at the cooler's features, installation process and performance before giving our final verdict. The H7 Quad Lumi is actually an improved version of the award winning H7 CPU Air Cooler CRYORIG released a while back featuring one additional nickel-plated heatpipe (according to CRYORIG this offers a 15% cooling efficiency improvement), LED lighting and support for the LGA 2011 platform by Intel. The dual channel RGB system that allows for individual lighting effects and colors for the top logo and bottom under glow. The cooler itself is with overall dimensions of 123(W) x 145(H) x 126(D) mm and overall weight of 845 g including the two fans. The second thing we found was more of a personal challenge than an issue, but I did not have any help at the time I mounted the cooler. While not a chart topper, the Cryorig H7 handles its business in a compact, Zero-Interference design, and does it well. When it comes to the typical air cooler, there are basic components that make a very big difference in the overall efficiency of a product. As you can see from the pictures above, with the heatsink installed on the motherboard the cooler is not blocking any of the DRAM slots and can be used even with memories with taller heat spreaders. Passionate about testing and reviewing, AMD overclocking using AM3 990FXA and AMD FM2 A85X test systems and building modding projects.

Using an open-air test bench, we deploy an Intel Core i7-4790K plugged into a Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force motherboard. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.

With the asymmetrical and inclined arrangement of the heatpipes, the heat sink is offset in such a way that it does not protrude over the RAM modules.

Type: Air cooler, Fan diameter: 12 cm, Rotational speed (min): 330 RPM, Rotational speed (max): 1600 RPM, Noise level (low speed): 10 dB, Noise level (high speed): 25 dB, Maximum airflow: 49 cfm, Maximum air pressure: 1. Once you've done that, go ahead and slot the backplate into place – the screws will come through the motherboard's holes (as you can see in the image above, left. While the cooler is 123mm in width, and 98mm deep with the fan attached, Cryorig kept this tower limited to only 145mm, so it will fit into more systems than the average 120mm fan cooled towers.

While the installation process could be refined, the CRYORIG H7 Quad Lumi is a rainbow-spiced CPU cooler with great performance. The next step is slightly unconventional as the cooler gets secured to the motherboard by tightening the screws on the underside of the motherboard. WCUK Online Ltd is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 824034) and acts as a credit intermediary. We like that the H7 comes out of the box almost completely ready to go onto the CPU it is intended to cool. The Cryorig coolers, like this H7 Quad Lumi CPU tower cooler, look even more dazzling, especially with its LED lighting.

Unfortunately I am unable to properly measure the sound output of CPU coolers using a digital sound meter. During that period, they have released an extensive lineup of CPU coolers and fans and have quickly made a name for themselves. of wire fan mounts so a second fan can be installed onto the rear of the heatsink (second fan not included). The cooler is with asymmetrical according to its center single tower heat sink with dimensions of 120(W) x 107(H) x 70(D) mm and featuring 40 pieces of 0. The additional fan definitely delivered a bit better cooling performance but it was not enough for sure. Now for the H7 Quad Lumi CRYORIG took a different path compared to other CPU Air Cooler models so instead of using one or two RGB fans they married a QF120 white LED PWM fan (1600RPM/59CFM/25dBA/1. Albeit a tad crooked, if you are a system builder, or are just looking for a more compact design that has what it takes to get the job done, then H7 is definitely worth a look.
