I’m chuckling to myself right now because I nearly didn’t choose to read this book as I have been binging on RomComs as of late, but I had chosen On Dublin Street for my blog’s January read and last night I thought I should start it whilst I had the chance. He is able to outsmart Joss and confusing her but is stunned by her quick-wit, strength and her confidence, things which made him fall in love with her in first place. Taking buses was a challenge; as they all went to strange-sounding places like Penicuik or Prestonpans, or to familiar names but in a new situation, like Portobello (unlike Dublin, this one is by the sea). Annoyed by this fact, Joss walks out but uses her time to congratulate her friend and being happy for her. The information on housing, people, culture, employment and education that is displayed about Dublin Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH3 6NN is based on the last census performed in the UK in 2011.In reality the rules were probably not strictly adhered to, but the point about servant access has been used to raise an interesting point about Edinburgh generally.
