The biggest downside to Hisense TVs compared to more expensive competitors is the quality control issues. It also has wider viewing angles, better reflection handling, and it has a bunch of gaming features like VRR support. Impressively, this TV has very good image processing, which is welcome for Hisense as it used to be a feature reserved for name brands like LG and Sony.
It has Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, as well as advanced DTS audio format support, but its low-quality content smoothing is poor, so it isn't as good for a home entertainment center as the higher-end models. It has good coverage of the commonly-used DCI P3 color space, but limited coverage of the wider Rec. It has much lower input lag than the Hisense H6510G, and it perfectly displays native 4k content, unlike the Toshiba Fire TV 2020.The painstaking 4K Blu-ray remaster of Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey allows this Hisense set to showcase its talents, high among which are fine backlighting control. The Speech mode effectively brings voices and dialogue forward while dulling background noise, while the Theatre mode gives a boost to low, mid, and high frequencies for more impactful audio during TV shows and films. If you have elected to receive a replacement, then a swap out will be arranged at any UK mainland address of your choice.
The iOS and Android app, on the other hand, is comprehensive, stable and about as stylish as these things ever get. There's minimal distortion at moderate listening levels, and even though it slightly increases at its max volume, most people won't hear it and it depends on the volume. There are no obvious areas of backlight bleed, and the Hisense manages to load black tones with a decent amount of detail, too.While it’s far from the brightest LCD TV around, the A720G0 nevertheless offers impressive contrasts, helped no end by white tones that are equally as detailed as their black equivalents. We’re confident, though, that the Hisense policy of extremely competitive pricing will be carried over intact to those territories. It has good reflection handling, but it's best to avoid using it in well-lit rooms as it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Still, even the cheapest of their OLEDs is a bit more expensive than the best Hisense TV, so they're not competing on value. Ensure you have selected the correct input source for viewing (for example, HDMI if you have an external device connected to the TV via HDMI).
It’s logical and straightforward where so many alternatives want to make a virtue of being complicated, and it makes getting to the content you want the work of a moment. Really, the best you can hope for is a bit of discretion – and, happily, that’s just what Hisense has delivered.
