About this deal

Like any pressurised system (including gas nailers) they have seals which can wear or fail, but in the case of the Hikokis this replacement and the sunsequent repressurisation of the reservoir can only be done by a Hikoki Authorised Service Centre. To activate the tool, the power button must be depressed for more than 1 second until the green light appears. For the sake of fairness, we can't really compare the NR1890DR to Paslode or Dewalt, since neither brand offers a cordless plastic strip framing nailer currently. On 1st unboxing I thought it seemed quite heavy (more similar to an sds drill than a cordless tool) however it is very well balanced and comfortable to use in either hand all day long.

I personally believe all nailers should include rafter hooks and truly appreciate the effort Hitachi has made to include them on their nailers. Those jobs can only be tackled by pneumatic nailers because gas nailers regardless of make or model (and I am talking about Paslode, Hitachi, Senco, Rawl and Hilti) all overheat somewhere around the 30 to 40 minute non-stop usage mark and then require 1 hour or more to cool down (to be honest, though, cordless nailers also get hot and drain batteries). Have fired around 4000 nails so far and only two misfires, both of which where related to the paper on the nails and not the gun, a quick push on the loader and it's back in action. And in any case, if you are regularly doing more than that with a gas nailer you are storing up life changing health problems for the future. The law dictates just how many nails you can legally fire with a nailer in a day - assuming that you don't want to end up suffering from vibration white finger in your middle age.If this is not possible please ensure you sign for the goods unexamined to allow us to take any claims up with our deliver partners if necessary. The HiKOKI (formerly known as Hitachi) NR90GC2/J8 cordless gas nail gun is a fantastic alternative to the Paslode IM350 nailgun. Within the panel, you can power on the tool, change the firing actuation from sequential to contact (bump) fire, and check the remaining battery life. As if this wasn't enough the Hitachi NR90GC2/J8 also has an easy access fuel cell chamber and is amazingly easy to clean, so you can spend less time looking after your gun and more time using it. If you are a roofer, who is working at height, firing nails in all day, week in and week out then a gas nailer makes sense.

The biggest difference is that the Hikoki is more powerful, although for most softwood first fix jobs it makes little practical difference. This repressurisation is little different to the repressurisation of a hydro pneumatic suspension system (e.While not a true replacement for pneumatic nailers, particularly on a production framing site, my crew and I found ourselves, more often than not, grabbing these nailers for many tasks. I plan to purchase the 23- and 15- gauge nailers in the future, as I am confident that they will finally allow me to leave the air compressor at home. The list of standard features on each Hitachi NR1890 cordless framing nailer includes a tool-free depth of drive adjustment, selective actuation button, on-tool battery indicator, integrated pivoting rafter hook, and a side lock switch to prevent accidental firing. In sequential mode the trigger must be pulled within 2 seconds of depressing the work contact or lock-out will occur. There was a comment about balance, but let me say that from experience it makes little difference to useability.

The NR1890DC is equipped with a convenient tool-less depth-of-drive dial that can be easily adjusted to adapt to woods of varying density. The on-tool control panel located at the base of the handle centralises the power button, battery charge indicator and selective actuation. That's all for this one, if this is your first time watching one of my videos, I publish videos every week on a Friday, usually project build videos but also tool videos and occasional vlogs. Yes, the sealed for life compressed air canister actually gas a fixed life and they can sometimes leak. Light-years ahead of the old Impulse tools from the 1990's, cordless nailing is now one of the hottest topics in construction.
