About this deal

THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER 'I've been waiting for this book all my life and everyone needs to read it' Claudia Winkleman Anya Hindmarch is a mother of five, stepmother, entrepreneur and globally renowned businesswoman. Anya Hindmarch is a world famous businesswoman, entrepreneur, CEO, and a mother to five children (3 of whom are her step children who she's looked after since they were small). I didn’t feel there were many super inspiring points although I had a few snippets of reminders to self I picked up on, which was really what I needed. Partly because she is modest about her successes, open about her difficulties and generous about her husband and the team who support her.

In these pages, Anya shares what she has learned during her busy and eclectic life as a mother, stepmother, entrepreneur and businesswoman, what she still worries about, and what advice she has received along the way.If you don't take care of yourself first then you won't be able to give your full potential to others including your children.

It helps to come back to a good book after a long day, which looks and feels like a warm sunshine company and you don’t mind spending some alone time with it. Our team is made up of book lovers who are dedicated to sourcing and providing the best books for kids. I’m not sure anyone can live life at this pace and altitude and not experience anxiety, self doubt and severe jet lag.

She has honorary doctorates from UEA and the University of Essex but lives in London, where her proudest achievement was hosting a sleepover in the bed department of Peter Jones. self help, 1/2 memoir - an easy positive read which I related to some parts of, but for a lot it was fairly un-relatable without being a middle class mother/business women. Something I would like to take forward for work/projects etc is approach each morning as if it's your first day. These self-appointed decision-makers and gatekeepers determine what is cool, what is in and what is out, what is acceptable and what is not. If you can do a 'mind-sweep' and get everything you need to remember out of your brain and onto a list, you can relax in the knowledge that it is all captured and won't be forgotten.

There is mention of some wide-reaching advice which should appeal to the typical reader, but these came almost as an after thought at the end of most chapters, as opposed to her own story and experiences woven around the advice that is promised on the cover.I wasn't familiar with the author before I picked up this book, but have since learnt that she is a successful entrepreneur within the fashion industry. I love how open and honest she is about her experiences and Mum guilt (I’m sure all Mums have this at some point, I know I have). Her book promises straight-talking worldly advice, which there is some, but about a third into it she switches to focusing on her story as she built up her business and the challenges she has faced along the way, and this is what makes up the last two thirds of the entire thing. All of our products are delivered in our signature Anya Hindmarch eco-packaging and a signature will be required upon receipt of all deliveries. Anya does this well, through an example of Saturday pizza with family to make up for a busy work week and asking for slack at work in a week full of school performances.

She was appointed Governor of the University of the Arts in 2010 and a Prime Minister's Business Ambassador in 2011, holds both and MBE and a CBE and is a Trustee of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.I don't think it's a coincidence that you can't pick up your phone when your hands are covered in dough or clay, or busy weaving. From practical tips and quick fixes, to profound observations about confidence and creativity, this inspiring handbook will show you how to live a little better – and why sometimes, the answer can be as simple as washing your hair. She talks about parenting three young bereaved children, while still in her twenties herself, and how she adapted her life to raise them while trying to get her business off the ground.
