Warned by other reviews, I ran mine through my record cleaning machine before playing, and was pleasantly surprised. All her songs are shot through with a sad, wasted glamour that it's impossible to shake from your mind, once you've heard it. This album mesmerizes with its blend of nostalgic pop, dreamy trip-hop, and captivating cinematic undertones. The richness and depth of the album are amplified on vinyl, taking the listening experience to dizzying heights. It was probably dirty out of the factory from those darn paper sleeves, which I immediately replaced with plastic ones after cleaning and you should too.

Born To Die the album is a collection of tracks about which Lana says "the songs I've written are an homage to true love and a tribute to living life on the wild side. That may seem an overstatement, but I'm speaking as someone who wouldn't listen to the Top 40 if you offered me a large sum of money. Her languid vocals harmonize with evocative lyrics, conveying a sense of melancholic yearning and bittersweet nostalgia. Firstly the image: yes, she is striking to look at, but it is anything but an easy look, it's a confrontational look and a mysterious look; she doesn't smile, she looks like she could maybe kill you, given provocation. Born To Die" is a suitably noir follow up to "Video Games" and is coming with an incredible video conceived by Lana and Directed by Woodkid.I would like it if more artists had their music pressed onto 3 sides with the 4th side containing bonus songs. Possessing this album on vinyl provides an immersion into Lana's world that cannot be matched - the melancholic sweetness and vintage allure are tangible in every note. The vinyl format brings warmth and depth to each song, allowing her hypnotic voice and luxuriant melodies to envelop the listener in auras of emotional gravity and timeless grace.

With just a couple of songs Lana Del Rey has completely rejuvenated and revalidated the whole of popular music. There is as much depth in her portraits of superficiality as you would find in a Matt Berninger lyric. Born to Die' is an album I'll treasure, showcasing the unmatched talent of Lana Del Rey in the most exquisite form. I would get this if you are a fan of hers (I mean probably every fan owns this by now, i mean we all know how her fans are). Her voice is not a perfect instrument; there's a hitch in her voice which is occasionally disruptive, but she manoeuvres around it pretty well, and her ability to move from deep sophisticate to adolescent wanna-be is frequently striking.Sem dúvidas, a sonoridade de Del Rey fica muito genuína no formato vinil, tornando sua voz expressiva e carinhosamente semelhante as grandes divas motown dos anos 50/60. The album artwork is a visual homage to the artist's vintage Hollywood aesthetic, seamlessly complementing the music's thematic essence.

This is no advert for female empowerment, but it portrays these doomed and sincere women with great fidelity and affection. I'd never really paid much attention to Lana Del Rey before the album release, having only heard a remix of Video Games that didn't do the original justice. Del Rey’s bewitching, old Hollywood allure shines through in 'Born to Die', an album that serves as a masterful tableau of love, sadness, and timeless allure. Off To The Races continues the haunting theme with an offbeat love song that may at first seem like a celebration of being shallow but very quickly reveals maturity and depth, and once listened to is difficult to forget. The 'Born to Die' 2 LP Vinyl Album offers an intensified listening experience, amplifying the atmospheric mood and rich textures that define Del Rey's sound. Aside from a repeated pop at the end of C2 and beginning of C3 that lasts at least for a minute (and I can't get rid of it even after cleaning the record a few times, but it doesn't bother me that much), my copy sounds just fine to me, I have no other complaints. Originally recorded for a stand-alone EP 11 months after the 2012 release of Lana Del Rey’s second album, Polydor releases the eight tracks that made up The Paradise Edition of Born To Die on vinyl.
