You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The new album will now be released on April 15th, and as with all touring cycles, naturally I want you to have the new album before my upcoming shows, so the tour has been pushed back to May, with the exception of both London shows remaining on April 18 and 19. Differing from his previous artistry of anything acoustic, he wanted to "make a more intimate sounding record" and "explore the different ranges of my voice, you know, get to do a bit more than falsetto stuff". The fourth studio album by Charlie Simpson, the record was announced on November 16, 2021, along with its tour.

Featuring the singles ‘I See You’, ‘Blameless’, ‘One Of Us’ and ‘All the Best’, the record serves as the follow up to 2015’s ‘Little Hands’ and arrives a mere few months after the runaway success of Simpson’s sold out show at London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum last November, where he debuted some of the albums material, live for the first time. It’s fascinating how the human psychehas the endless capacity for optimism as a mechanism for overcoming adversity. Two years later we made the move to our present address, 35 The Headrow, where we have remained ever since. With an uncompromising approach to creating truly honest music, 2022 is set to be a hugely exciting chapter for one of the UKs most celebrated voices. Having sought refuge in the safety of his home-made recording studio during the first national lockdown two years ago, Simpson channeled any feelings of trepidation and anxiety he may have been feeling due to the destructive nature of the pandemic, into his music – adopting a fresh approach to his songwriting and exploring with a mix of new sonic sounds, by merging confessional lyrics with vocodered vocals and alt-pop synths, to produce his most personal, and profound work to date. Promising audiences a night they won’t forget, the ‘Parachutes’ singer tells fans he plans to play a mix of new songs and old favourites, as well teasing some surprise on-stage moments too! With intimate ballads such as 'I See You' and uptempo pop songs such as 'Blameless' and 'All the Best', the album showcases an artist confidently pushing the boundaries of a remarkable 20 year career.

Hailing from Suffolk, Charlie Simpson began his musical career in 2001, gaining commercial and critical success with Busted and Fightstar before going solo. A majority of the tracks were written on the piano, and he purposefully avoided the guitar in favour of a different instrument.

The majority of the album was self-produced at Charlie’s own recording studio, built from scratch during the global lockdown. His sound has evolved slightly but still very much recognisable from his previous three solo albums.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the songs on this album are another set of classic Charlie Simpson tunes. We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres. Don't do what I did and drink two glasses of red wine before listening to the album, because it will have you in tears. As a lifelong music fan, being able to get my hands on a physical album is something I treasure, and I feel very passionate about continuing this tradition by releasing all formats at the same time. It's fascinating how the human psyche has the endless capacity for optimism as a mechanism for overcoming adversity. In an exclusive interview with NME, he revealed that he "started writing it in 2019" and wanted to be "more stripped-back and showed my more vulnerable side". He is the recipient of two BRIT Awards, has performed to sold out arenas and headlined festivals across the UK. With intimate ballads such as ‘I See You’ and uptempo pop songs such as ‘Blameless’ and the upcoming ‘All The Best’, the album showcases an artist confidently pushing the boundaries of a remarkable 20 year career.
