Between turning the styler on and off between curls, and swapping attachments in and out as you dry the hair to 80% before finishing your look, this styler is not a quick tool to use. If you’re looking for a big and bouncy blow-dry; the kind you get at a salon, opt for the rounded bristle brush.

If your hair is layered make sure each of your styling sections consist of the same length hair and not different lengths, this will make it easier to style.

For tighter, more defined curls – or if you have thicker hair – turn the heat setting up to high and curl smaller strips of hair, in alternating directions.

It’s no great secret that we love testing out new hair tools here on the Cosmo beauty desk, we’ve tried the Ghd Oracle, Dyson’s AirWrap and the Ghd Glide (to name a few), but this time it’s Remington that's caught our eye. It’s part of the wider Remington Curl and Straight Confidence range, which also features a hair dryer and a twisted hair straightener .The attachment we were most excited to use, and the one that takes this styler from a standard hot brush to a Dyson Airwrap dupe, was the hot tong. The Remington Curl and Straight Confidence Airstyler AS8606 comes in a black fabric carry case and inside are elasticated slots for the styler itself as well as its four attachments – a concentrator nozzle, a 40mm rounded, soft bristle hot air brush, a hot paddle brush, and a 30mm cylindrical hot air tong – all which come as standard.

The various attachments and heat settings allow you to create multiple looks, with relative ease – whether you’re looking for sleek, bouncy, wavy or curly finishes. It has 5 variable temperature settings to give you as much heat as you need from 150-230C depending on your hair type. Dubbed, the Remington Curl and Straight Confidence, the 2-in-1 hair styler looks like a regular pair of straighteners, but upon closer inspection, it's pretty obvious that unlike our standard flat-plated ghds, this tool has twisted plates.It should be noted that the rotation is quite fast and this makes it a little too easy to wrap the hair too tight and pull on the roots. They’re easy to fit, swap and remove but make sure you wait for each one to cool down before twisting them off as they take a small amount of force to move, and could burn.
