About this deal

As a result, there were parts of the book where JB explains the basics of F1 that anyone who's watched a couple of races will already be fairly familiar with, which I found a tad dry. from the little bits of his personality we get to see of him as a commentator for sky sports, he is such an endearing person.

From the couch to the podium, the pit-lane to the racetrack, to what really goes on behind-the-scenes. He’s obviously decided that this will be a racing autobiography, which is his decision, but it does seem to close off him as a person slightly. Also for a short book, I lost count of how many times he mentioned that he’s a dad now, he lives in California or his partners name.

There is some common overlap in the books which both cover the Honda pullout, Mercedes engine swap and various 2009 key race highlights like the season opener in Australia, Monaco and Brazil. Above everything, Jenson came across as a real, genuine bloke in his book – despite the money, the fame, the swanky boats and houses and cars – if you met him in a pub for a curry on a Tuesday night, you’d have a right laugh. although i didn’t watch formula 1 at the time he was racing and have only seen him race through replays, jenson button is a driver i have much respect for. It's the laughs I've shared, the battles I've fought, some on the track with rivals and friends like Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.

LONGLISTED FOR THE WILLIAM HILL SPORTS BOOK OF THE YEAR 2018This is my life, not the stuff you’ve seen, but the things you haven’t. We don’t necessarily see the full real Jensen Button, but we see more than enough to make this an enjoyable and engrossing read. Despite the use of humour and an element of tongue frequently planted cheekside, the underlying message is one of application and cooperation.Putting Life to the Limit together was an amazing experience and I’m excited to be embarking on a new challenge by putting the reader in the paddock, behind the wheel and behind the scenes of the show that never ends. But meeting K was a one in a lifetime event, my Harlequin summer, I'll never meet another man who loves racing and has a couple of million a year to spend on his hobby. Można wręcz pomyśleć, że dla kierowców kolejne wyścigi, choćby nie wiem jak szalone, są po prostu następnym punktem w kalendarzu, który tylko pobieżnie zapisuje się w pamięci. Please note: I am not responsible for any security weaknesses in WordPress, hosting provider or other technology I have no control over.

I am unable to say that nobody reading it will ever be one of the elite chosen to drive the fast and furious Grand Prix circuits, for I am not that prescient. His 17 years in Formula 1 have seen him experience everything the sport has to offer, from nursing underpowered cars around the track to winning World Championships and everything in between.

Why did he want to leave British American Racing (BAR) for Williams in 2004 even as he was enjoying his best season to date? I have seen Jenson Button being interviewed and thought he was very funny so after reading the reviews I decided to try it.
