About this deal
Classic Records used the original master tapes to make their reissue series of LZ at 33 1/3 and 45rpm on 200g vinyl. I recently purchased an original (US) first year of issue LZ I album, however it didn’t include the original paper sleeve for the vinyl.

The 70s launched off from an international space-age dream and thrust the world into a fabulous new age that celebrated revolution, science, and boogie fever. I also have the (SIC) “House of the holy” French pressing, pictured, which also sounds great, (has anyone compared it to the US RL version? So, I persuaded the powers that be to dip Zeppelin’s albums into the classical vat, which is part of the reason why the sound quality on our albums was so good.
PS, I saw Led Zeppelin in 1969 at Leeds Uni, I will never forget the dynamics, the 1000 watt slave amps stacked 10 high and only 2000 people in the hall. The release was not approved by the band, and was subsequently withdrawn from the marketplace when they found out about it. As originators of heavy metal and hard rock, Led Zeppelin went on to score 6 Number 1 albums and to compose “Stairway to Heaven,” “Immigrant Song,” “Ramble On” and a whole host of other chart-topping hits.copies were pressed and Coda and Houses of the holy were also pressed for Iceland, same number, 500 each.
