There are loads of brilliant non-fiction books that can teach your child about the world, as well as being entertaining, funny and gorgeous to look at. Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first.Bethan Woollvin’s vibrant illustrations are full of energy, and packed with details to spot, such as animals and birds interacting in the scene. Together, we are introduced to clouds, wind, tornadoes, thunder and lightning, fog and snow, sunshine and rain and – finally – a beautiful rainbow. She lives in Sheffield with her husband and two daughters, where she loves walking her dog and sitting in cafes and libraries.

I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books. Some also introduce children to different weather patterns, and other amazing features of planet Earth. When you eventually pull yourself away from indulging in the illustrations, you will see that the author has been just as creative!
