About this deal

We’ve got plenty of lolly sticks to go with those moulds too, including traditional wooden lolly sticks that are both nostalgic and environmentally friendly.

This set of four individual moulds is ideal for smaller freezers, taking up barely any more room than the lolly itself. They needed to be upright for the best results, but at 19cm, they need a tall freezer shelf or drawer. When we laid them on their side, the mixture sank a little, making the ice pop misshapen and not as pretty.Volume: The government advises that children are limited to a combined total of 150ml of fruit juice or smoothie a day, so all the moulds we tested were 150ml-capacity or under. The handles for the lollies are a great length and slot firmly into the mould, but it's essential to insert them correctly so the stick itself runs through the centre of the lolly, not on the top, as shown on the box. They make 6 lollies (unlike NUK and Nuby which both only offer four), which is good if you have a few children round. Each lolly stays firmly attached to the stick inside thanks to a clever circular design that offers more surface area. KitchenCraft deluxe lolly block maker is a sturdy piece of kit with 8 plastic moulds and individual covers, a tray to keep the mould upright in the freezer, and 16 wooden lolly sticks to get started with.

By far the cutest lolly moulds we tried, this rack of six little bunnies made the most delightful little ice pops. The block, when fully assembled, measures 12(H) x 11(W) x 24(D)cm, so it needs quite a bit of space in the freezer. The silicone moulds are on the smaller side, so they make a perfect portion size for young children, and the ice lollies popped out of the moulds with zero faff.

Nuby say these are suitable for babies from 6 months (while the NUK ones are recommended for those aged 9 months and over) and they’re ideal if you’re hoping to create breast milk popsicles for your teething baby. Cleaning: If the moulds weren’t dishwasher-safe, we looked at how tricky they were to clean by hand. The set is a medium size, so easy to fit into a freezer drawer, and produces four curved ice lollies of a good size. Having the moulds in the stand makes them easy to fill and has the advantage of having an individual lolly, two, three or four to run under the tap if you want, and the rest can stay safely tucked up in the freezer. Lastly, inside the box are some recipe cards that had easy but interesting flavour suggestions on it, which took our lollies to the next level.

But our favourite is this set of six moulds – it grabs the top spot because of how easy it is to use. Designed to hold and freeze 30ml portions of breast milk or purée to soothe teething gums in warmer weather, it can also be filled with yogurt or juice for older children. The post-curing process burns off the remaining chemicals, giving you an odourless, BPA-free mould to use time and time again.Cakesicles are all the rage right now in the cake decorating universe, and a fun twist on your regular cake pops. This no-nonsense mould might not have the visual impact of some of the more colourful options, but it gets the job done without any fuss.

These moulds are big, though – they were a challenge to fit into our sizable test freezer, and the lollies themselves were big, too, once removed from the moulds. To use the flexible mould, pipe or pour in your batter or ice cream, then bake until golden or chill until set. Our moulds will make 100s of bath bombs if cared for correctly, just rinse with warm soapy water and leave to air dry. Depending on the age of your little ones, you can fill them with a mixture of fruit, yoghurt, breast or coconut milk and even vegetable puree or juice. The simple BPA-free, silicone mould feels sturdy and pliable, which makes releasing the finished lollies easy.
