Speakers placed directly on any surface are bound to vibrate that surface and lead to (at the very least) a little bit of sound colouration. To rectify this problem you should have rubber feet beneath each monitor but, even then, it’s unlikely that you will isolate everything. I am quite aware that some have reported success with the Gaia under TTs but have not seen any rational reasoning as to why that should be the case as yet (and yes I have read HW's posts). Let alone any coherent reasoning as to why a directional support should be better with non-directional components than a non-directional support.
