About this deal

After each feed rinse out bottles and teats with cold water. Wash in soap and water using a bottle brush. Rinse well. Rub teats with salt inside and outside to remove milk deposit. Rinse well with cold water.

Use the measuring well provided in the Milton sterilising unit to measure out Milton or use 2 capfuls of Milton to 4 L of cold water. Ensure that all milk residues are removed from bottles and teats before you sterilise, otherwise the bottles won’t be fully sterile and bacteria could remain in the teat. Remember that milk is the ideal environment for bacteria to grow which is why special care must be taken when washing baby bottles.Don’t forget to give a regular clean to your baby's potty, bath, high chair, changing table and plastic mattress. A Milton solution made up with either Tablets or Fluid can be a handy way to keep all your baby’s equipment perfectly clean! Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number). On ingestion - may cause temporary discomfort - if swallowed give large amounts of water, get medical attention.

Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.Use Milton in the nursery to protect baby's things from harmful germs - 40 ml Milton and 1 litre water - Disinfect bibs, wipe down edges of cots, waterproof sheets and covers. Also soak plastic, wooden and rubber toys. SABS tested and approved. Alternatively, if you're in hurry, you can use Milton Antibacterial Wipes to disinfect soothers, teething rings and small baby toys.

Because infant formula can sometimes contain bacteria, it is important to make up each feed as your baby needs it, using boiled water (temperature 70°C or above). The hot water will ensure that any harmful bacteria get killed. Always remember to let the feed cool before giving it to baby. Milton helps cut flowers last twice their normal life - 5 ml Milton and 1 litre water - Pour solution into vase. Not tested by SABS. Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication. Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health. Both MRSA and Staphylococcus aureus are particularly vulnerable to disinfectants and the application of simple hygiene routines will do much to prevent their spread.
