About this deal

For GP applicants, your offer and location of your offer will depend solely on your MSRA score, as opposed to an interview being included like in previous years. Some locations are much more popular than others, so will require a higher MSRA score to be in line with the competition. The score for each paper is normalised; this is usually around a mean score of 250, but as normalisation is dependent on each year’s average scores, there could be a variation of up to 40 marks either side of the mean score. Ruby is 2 years old and is seen today with her father as she has had a one-week history of runny nose and has complained her throat hurts. This morning she has noted a rash on both cheeks but nowhere else on the body. Ruby is well in herself and eating, drinking, passing urine and opening her bowels as normal. She has no other medical history and is up to date with immunisations. She is not lethargic and on examination today is playing happily in the consulting room, has normal observations and an unremarkable respiratory and throat examination. There is a diffuse erythematous rash on both cheeks. What is her most likely diagnosis?

Underestimating the difficulty of the exam - as it's a free exam and is part of specialty selection it might be easy to think "yep I know how to do an SJT exam" and then not prepare. As most of you will be working a full-time clinical job whilst revising for the MSRA, there may not be enough time to go through all your Medical School Finals notes. Most people, who have done the exam, recommend revising using various question banks (of which is based on personal choice). Resources to Prepare for the MSRA Assesses your ability to apply clinical knowledge to help make clinical decisions – it is not a test of pure knowledge. Do you have a disability which requires any specific arrangements / adjustments to enable you to attend a computer-based test, interview or assessment, or other selection process?"and select the adjustment(s) you require from the list of options. If the result shows you have MRSA on your skin, you’ll need to treat it with a special nasal cream or spray, body wash and shampoo for around 5 to 10 days. There is an optional five-minute break between the two papers. If candidates take a longer break, this extra time will be subtracted from the time available in which to complete the CPS paper. 2 The ID requirements for online proctored assessments differ to the requirements for an assessment delivered at an assessment centre. Therefore, it is important that you understand the requirements for this occurrence. The capacity at each centre is finite and there may be a requirement to travel to the nearest location with availability if there is no availability at your preferred location. Correcting name discrepancies The Clinical Problem Solving Paper includes 12 different clinical topic areas (below). The domains all focus around one of the following: investigations, diagnosis, emergencies, prescribing or management. Particular specialties which are often dominant are Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Clinical Problem Solving Topics:

The MSRA score is valid for one year, after which you will need to retake the exam if you wish to apply for a specialty that requires it. What's a good MSRA score? You are on call as a junior doctor in the emergency department. You receive a call about a patient with a severe allergic reaction. What is the most appropriate immediate action to take? Clinical Problem-Solving Test (CST): To help you prepare for your MSRA date, Shiken provides an Ai-powered personalized MSRA question bank with three simple subscription options. The prices for these subscriptions vary depending on their duration, allowing you to choose the one that best fits your needs and MSRA study schedule. To book an MSRA exam you need to first apply for specialty training in one of the specialties that uses the MSRA. This is done through the Oriel application system. If you meet the eligibility criteria for that specialty you'll then be invited to book the MSRA exam. You can't apply directly to sit the MSRA. You have to first submit an application and have that application accepted.
