(Okay, what other word can I use for 'beautiful' so that I can describe this book as something beautiful without meaning it to be something else?) lenore and alex’s relationship was the cutest thing ever and i loved seeing their friendship grow into something more. it was by far the most fun i had in the book and honestly it’s a disgrace that we didn’t get an epilogue with more of them.

Es increíble cómo, poco a poco, nos damos cuenta de cómo Emma conoció a Jesse, cómo empezaron a salir, cómo se enamoraron y cómo todo era absolutamente hermoso. Y es igual de cool ver cómo Emma, después de pasar un tiempo destrozada por la pérdida, se dio la oportunidad de conocer de nuevo a Sam, de volver a sentir cosas por alguien. En serio amé todo ese proceso de ir y volver, de ver cómo las dos historias de amor de Emma eran únicas, poderosas, bonitas, sanas.

I dig through my purse looking for my phone, grabbing the only thing lit up and flashing. I don’t recognize the number. The area code 808 doesn’t ring a bell but it does pique my interest. As a fan of any book about travel, I found that the travel elements in this book are well executed. The cruise ship setting in particular brings so much excitement to the story, and I enjoyed the descriptions of the different activities on board. Beyond the cruise ship, there are also descriptions of each stop the characters make, from Italy to Greece, and the vivid descriptions made me feel like I was right there alongside them.

After graduating high-school Emma and Jesse set off as far away from home as they can and move to California. They’re married and living their *best lives* traveling the world together and falling deeper in love with who they’re each becoming, along with one another. But once story caught up with present, it went downhill pretty fast. All I got was unhealthy relationships and love triangle that made me feel disgusted with heroine instead of feeling sorry for her. I read this book because blurb promised emotional story. this book was just a book of so many different things. of knowing when to let go and when to hold on. this is almost a once-in-a-lifetime experience and tale, i think. some things i learnt from this: Although I was happy with the ending, I can’t say I was emotionally prepared for Jesse and Emma’s breakup. I almost cried when he saidUnintentionally, in the writing of this review, I'm already noticing that I've barely mentioned the actual central romance, and I think that's a testament to Bryant's skill. The romance is sweet and layered and engaging, but it is also not the only thing that matters...to Lenore or apparently to this reader.
