About this deal

Among Cassie assuming her new role as a nanny, I really loved the relationship she formed with Sophie. Sophie was initially hesitant and wary of Cassie, but through Cassie’s kind ways, she was able to get Sophie to open out and find comfort in someone. Sophie seemed like a great kid, and the way she was feeling with her dad always working, she felt like she didn’t have any one to open up to, but thankfully with Cassie, she found a friend in her which was really heart warming to see. Even early on in the story, it was evident that Cassie cared a lot about Sophie, as well as Aiden, and their overall wellbeing. Cassie might have taken on the job of being a nanny as a way of rescuing herself from financial burdens, but she found herself growing close to both Sophie and Aiden. Suddenly unemployed Cassie has two options: get a new job (and fast) or fire up her long-untouched OnlyFans account. When she spots an ad for a live-in nanny position it seems like the solution to all her problems . . . Smart, fun, sexy, and sizzling with romantic tension, The Nanny is a mouth-wateringly delicious take on second chances with a healthy dash of steam. I can't wait for more from Lana Ferguson! * Sara Desai, author of The Singles Table * Basically, I loved this book. Like, loved with a capital L. It’s one I’m going to be thinking about for a long time. I am concluding this review with a promise that my new mission in life is to get a written promise that Jessica not only never stops writing books, but that she always sends them to me as soon as she can. (Once she gets out of emotional jail. Do you think she would succumb to a power play where I offer her a nail file in return for this written agreement?) Ferguson makes the will-they-won’t-they sing with complex emotional shading and a strong sense of inevitability to her protagonists’ connection…Rosie Danan fans should snap this up.”— Publishers Weekly, starred review

When Cassie loses her job in the children hospital, her plans to keep a roof above her head and pay her school tuitions sound like impossible plan to her! She needs a job covering her expanses urgently! Her dreams come through so fast than she expected when she answers an ad for live-in nanny position and gets summoned to an interview with her future boss at the restaurant he works at. The sexual tension between Aiden and Cassie is like the most decadent chocolate and the payoff is definitely rewarding. It left me hot and bothered.I loveddddd this book. I loved the quirky "meet-ugly" that brought these two together, and I loved all the bumpy road fun that came thereafter that brought these two dummies closer and closer together. Adalyn is so relatable in her inner need to be perfect, so afraid to disappoint someone because she's tied her worth to how much she can succeed (can you have classic middle child syndrome without being a middle child?) and I loved watching her learn about her own worth through Cameron's eyes, and realizing she was more than just her work all along. I'll insert another [oh] for emphasis, because while Aiden is basically a golden retriever in human form, but looks can be deceived because the words that come out of this guy's tongue in bed are positively filthy.

Cassie just felt so relatable despite the fact that she was getting wined and dined by a hot daddy chef every night. Never have I wanted to relate more. She was self aware and stood up for herself and others. Aiden was a treat in the streets and a FEAST in the sheets. I’m convinced there’s no better fictional profession than a dominant daddy chef. Cassie was like thank god I don’t have a daddy kink and I was like Jesus Christ can’t relate anymore 😮‍💨 When Mazey popped into my DMs, I did three things: had a brain meltdown and subsequent reboot, then had a fangirl moment, and then of course—begged for an ARC of her upcoming release. (Did I only become a writer to have some sort of platform to beg f When Mazey popped into my DMs, I did three things: had a brain meltdown and subsequent reboot, then had a fangirl moment, and then of course—begged for an ARC of her upcoming release. (Did I only become a writer to have some sort of platform to beg for books? Maybe.) From the moment we met R'Jaal on the island and saw him making sad eyes because Marisol did LISTEN I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR R'JAAL'S BOOK FOR EONS. The story follows Cassie (25), a woman who is just finishing up her degree. When she gets laid off from work, Cassie finds herself taking a job as a live-in nanny. Aiden (32) is overworked, stressed out, and desperate to get some help with his daughter, so he jumps at the chance to hire someone as qualified as Cassie. They soon discover that the sparks that fly between them could be a problem - Cassie is there to work, and her focus should be on Aiden's daughter, not the sexy single dad she's sharing a home with. But the two can't seem to stop crossing lines, and things become even more complicated when Cassie realizes that Aiden is the OnlyFan who ghosted her when things got a little too real between them... and she's not sure what to do about that.

From the moment we met R'Jaal on the island and saw him making sad eyes because Marisol didn't resonate to him—I knew I was not going to get any rest until I saw him get happiness. It was a long wait, but boy was it worth it. Rosalind was everything R'Jaal needed, and R'Jaal is the definition of "it's always the quiet ones". (THANK GOD.) There was that staple translation error human between sweet baby R'Jaal and Rosalind (poor babies will just never understand slang) and the romance that blossomed between them was so sweet and scorching hot.

Elena is just a queen of slow burn and every single wait is always worth it ten-fold. *dreamy sigh* While the story is told exclusively from present day, each chapter begins with snippets of Aiden and Cassie's anonymous online relationship, when he was paying for the privilege to watch her... ah, play with "toys," if you will. Aiden is a chef who is married to his job, so it was easy to see how his loneliness could lead him to getting a little carried away with a masked beauty online. That certainly added some extra tension and history to the relationship, especially once Cassie realizes the connection. It also makes sense why they connected so easily over the physical side of things in present day, though I think I would've preferred for them to connect emotionally in present day before realizing that they are extremely compatible in the bedroom. That would've been stronger to me, but the way things play out makes this a super sexy read. I also think it was a missed opportunity not to have them connect more emotionally, since Aiden does have so much work to do on himself. He's struggling as a single dad, he's struggling with work, and he's pushing his daughter's aunt away. So there was a lot of potential to dig in deeper there, and that didn't really happen. That being said, I loved the light and sexy vibes. It's a smile-inducing, feel good read much of the time, paired with tons of heat. And I've got no complaints about that! So this ended up being a very solid read for me, but there were too many missed opportunities for me to call it 5 stars.

Now, onto the not-so-great parts. Personally, the "meet cute" on “OF” wasn't my cup of tea. 😅🙈 But hey, different strokes for different folks, right? Also, the repetitive dialogue got under my skin. If I heard "I don’t want to overstep" one more time, I might have given up on the whole shebang! 😤😩 When Cassie is laid off from the job she loves, she has to look for a new gig. The perfect one materializes when she sees an ad for a nanny and meets the charming father of her new would-be charge. Aiden is more than handsome, a busy chef at a Michelin starred restaurant who is grappling with the challenges of single fatherhood. Cassie is the best candidate he’s met, and she takes the job. It’s only after she’s moved in and started work that Cassie realizes Aiden used to watch her OnlyFans. Not only that, but their digital relationship was pretty intimate. When their relationship starts to steam up in real life, Cassie has to find a way not just to be honest, but to be brave. Ferguson makes the will-they-won't-they sing with complex emotional shading and a strong sense of inevitability to her protagonists' connection...Rosie Danan fans should snap this up * Publishers Weekly (starred review) *

Jude’s brain completely shutting down when his feelings for Indira overwhelm him in any way (see: “I don’t eat” lmao what a precious baby) Great story that had me hooked and left me wanting more. I can already tell that Lana Ferguson is going to be an auto buy author for me, already excited for her next book, The Fake Mate Oh, she also used to be an OnlyFans creator who goes by the name Cici, but she quit because [spoiler]. The Nanny is sweet, beautifully sexy, and Aiden is the single Zaddy you want in your life. An amazing debut.”—Elena Armas, New York Times Bestselling Author Delete me now because this book has become my entire personality. I don't even know where to start. The banter? The references? The adorable moments? The scorching ones?Cassie is a 25-year-old in her third year of Grad School for Occupational Health. After losing her job as a therapy assistant in a Children's Hospital and having to downsize her living expenses, she is seeking a job to balance her schoolwork. He’s a chef! He’s extremely hot! And Cassie feels like she knows him from somewhere! And interestingly after having her worst kind of humiliating interview, Aiden still wants her to accept the job and meet with her tough cookie nine years old daughter Sophie who recently loses her mother. ( Don’t worry! Aiden was not married with the mother of Sophie. They had an one night stand ten years ago and they decided to stay friends for sharing custody. )
