About this deal

Midrange: Besides the occasional mid-bass spillage, the midrange was good—it neither felt too recessed nor too forward. No particular quality stood out, but it felt relaxed, sounded smooth, and did not exhibit any shoutiness. I find these IEMs to be really comfortable and have worn them for multiple long sessions without any hotspots or pain. Noise isolation is pretty good and even with music playing at low volume you won’t hear much of the outside world. Cable In terms of technical performance, imaging, instrument separation, clarity and micro-details are very good for a budget single DD IEM. Soundstage is quite wide (though only about average for soundstage depth and height). TinHiFi has been hard at work to come up with another budget-benchmark, and the T3 Plus is the best attempt yet. The build is solid, accessories mostly good (the tips might require a change), and the sound is closer to the Harman target with some modifications. So what’s the difference then? Not so much to be honest, the P1 Plus simply fixes the few issues found on the prior model, as the brand collected numerous enthusiasts’ suggestions, and used them to update their IEM.

The Heart Mirror used to be my default recommendation for the best budget neutral IEM, but this mantle has been taken by the Titan S as of today. The Aria have a slightly more natural timbre but they do suffer from complaints of the paint bubbling or peeling off the shell, which should not be an issue with the all metal shell of the Titan S.

If you’re looking for a really smooth, clean, musical, detailed and clean sounding IEM for a very fair price, then Tin HI FI’s T3 Plus is one of the best options I can recommend right now, at their 70 USD price point. The mids are placed at just the right spot; not forward nor recessed. Vocals have a slightly above average level of articulation. There is a small bump in the upper mids that makes female vocals partially more forward than the male ones. Acoustic guitars, pianos, and other instruments sound lively and has an added shimmer to them. Next would be a cable that's thin prone to tangles and not even in the same area code as the OG T3's gold and white cable I thought was really pretty looking. Improved is the 0.78mm Two pin an improvement over the pesky MMCX of the past. Then there's the pouch straight out of the BLON box, well it's a little softer but a case would have been nice even the EVO's pouch was nicer in my opinion. Build is very good, and I do think this is the prettiest Tin so far. It's also very comfortable but I do think smaller ears might have some pressure issues. isolation is good and I assume with foam it would be excellent.

The TinHifi T4 was the last IEM we reviewed from the brand. Topping the Tx catalog, the T4 offers “audiophile performance” for a relatively low price. To do so, the IEM embeds a 10mm high-quality carbon nanotube dynamic driver, offering “crystal-clear sound and detail with authority”. I view these two LCP giants as complementary sets, and they bring different tunings to the CHIFI budget buffet table. Vs. HZSound Heart MirrorThe faceplates have a textured marble design with a gold colour brand logo in the middle. A single vent is placed on the top side of the shell. The gold colour nozzles are slightly longer than the one on the T5 and have the usual protective mesh cover. Ear tips There are 3 variants of eartips included here. Do explore tip-rolling to see what suits your preferences. Starting with the IEMs, Tin Hifi has moved away from the usual aesthetics that I automatically associate with the brand, opting for a more generic shaped resin shell, with a very nice grey marble effect on the faceplate and the Tin logo in gold.
