I have had the same mindset as the author, I related to him very hard and this book pushed me to live a slower, more intentional life, which is why it will always be one of my favorite books ever. The book was EXTREMELY relatable if you are either an over-achiever, and/or someone whom experiences stress or anxieties.

When we know what is necessary, but cannot do it, our desire must be questioned. It’s possible that that thing is not very important and can be dismissed from our obsessive thinking. But often, it is worthwhile, and we have not fully considered the risks and benefits of both outcomes. Asking what the pain will be next year, in five years, or ten, if we remain unchanged and do nothing, is a worthy exercise.” The ideal reader here is the high-achiever, or wannabe high-achiever, who is already doing relatively well, but who endeavors to go further. The book starts off with some fairly simple – but important – foundational stuff that many successful people seem to struggle with, like breathing properly and getting enough sleep, and then it moves on into mindset, career success, and money, before finishing on a high note with respect to relationships and love. This book is basically stating things that everyone knows but doesn't pay attention to or choose to ignore. It also gives you a actionable steps, but it does not offer a service of ensuring that you follow the steps, There is a lot of common sense action that you can easily implement today into your daily habits and routines. I didn’t care what anyone else thought was reasonable, normal, or successful. I wanted more peace!”Then this book will become your guide to answer all your questions and it will become a friend of yours till the end.

Nate Dallas has also shared his own experience on overcoming the cultural epidemic such as anxiety and entrapment. If your body learns that you can’t be trusted to drink enough water, it increases your appetite to ensure the necessary water arrives through food." Also important – and I’m so glad he references them repeatedly – is the raising of our standards. We don’t rise to the level of our goals, but rather fall to the level of our standards, and in my own life, raising them has been a huge part of my success. You get what you tolerate in life, and if you tolerate getting 4 hours of sleep and working 70 hours a week for a salary that’s barely enough to live on, that’s exactly what you’re going to keep on getting. Ed Mylett calls this your inner thermostat, and if the temperature of your thermostat is set to some “comfortable” level, you’re never going to achieve what you’re truly capable of achieving. You have to turn up the heat. We should concern ourselves with living our best life not feuding with someone we self-determine is notIn this book, Dr. Nate Dallas shares his eye-opening, personal experiment to escape a cultural epidemic. In his unabashed, down-to-earth style, he presents an entertaining and enlightening journey, challenging capable over-achievers alike. Combining potent insights from multiple disciplines, he distills complex processes into practical, achievable steps designed to elevate your life to an all-time high.

Full Book Name: You’re Too Good to Feel This Bad: An Orthodox Approach to Living an Unorthodox Life It has somehow become socially acceptable to be wound-identified and to have an existence based on that wound." As we say, sometimes name is enough to attract you and the title of this book is a perfect example of that. Initially, I thought that this is just a guidance book regarding self transformation, but after finishing this book, I must say that its much more than that, its an answer to every question that comes to our mind when we try to analyse our lives. Writer Nate Dallas concocts his book 'you're too good to feel bad', to advocate this very issue. In this book, Nate Dallas shares his educational, individual experiences to get away from the social predicament of tension and ensnarement. Some people still have small hearts and minds. The question is whether they should be condemned for it, or loved out of it? The secondary question is, who should be offering the love?” The book was detailed enough but concise and straightforward. I expect this from a book that sets out to solve the practical problems of life. I wasn't disappointed by how it presented ideas and defined practical actions for the reader. You're too Good to Feel This Bad by Dr. Nate Dallas is a book of Self-help genre but is no ordinary Self-Help.
