About this deal

Ich habe mir die beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro gekauft um sie als Studiokopfhörer für mein kleines Heimstudio nutzen zu können und auch ab und zu für Field-Recordings.

Depending on your viewpoint the supplied cables are either perfect for the job or cumbersome at best, there is no in-between here. Both the long and coiled suit studio desk work given its length to move around freely with the cans strapped on your head or the durability to brush up mix desks and take a bit of rough and tumble on mobile turntable setups. Each has a mini-XLR on one end to plug into one earcup, and a 3.5mm plug with screw-in ¼″ adapter on the other end. I ran all the headphones separately through Denon's respectably-priced DA-300USB DAC while listening to YouTube, Spotify's AAC streams, and 1411Kb/s FLAC files thanks to Tidal, all at 192kHz 24-bit sample rate, with the aim of getting as wide a scope as possible for almost all listening scenarios. Equalize them with software and it sound not as good as unequalized. The TH600 has a lovely, dreamy and beautiful overall sound that beats the 1770 (bear in mind I started just listeneing to the 1770 a few hours ago..).

There are zero issues driving the DT 1770 PRO from the Mojo and if the treble energy the DT 1770 PRO can yield is not your thing the Mojo will smooth it out a bit more than the X7 and even the Cayin i5. Personally, the AM3/X7 was my choice, I just preferred its slightly cleaner sound. Amps Portable/SS

Tech Specs

Perhaps the biggest difference to note is the fact the DT770 sports non-Tesla technology, using instead the older DT drivers and of course, chiming in at a very portable worthy 32 ohms rather than the DT 1770 PRO’s more considered 250 ohms. That being said the gap is not as huge as it once could have been with very high ohm DT variations due to the Tesla driver technology producing a much more efficient performer even at this high rating. As such, both can play well from portable players but the DT 1770 PRO just scales that bit better, sounding more controlled than the DT770 on stronger amps. Tonality

I have never them as having a penchant for the neutral and instead they have been giving us a wide range of colored and interesting presentations for quite some time now most notably in their musical DT range and their flagship Tesla T series headphones. Portable Sabre chip DAC/amps such as the HA-2 from Oppo and the Peachtree Shift I was less in favor of, with the former pushing the treble a little too hard and the latter not revealing enough. I still prefer DAC/Amps with AKM designs for the DT 1770 PRO.

What Makes Our Sales Engineers Great?

These new pads have been designed specifically to combat and control sweat in a superior manner to the older pads and to prevent them from flaking and falling apart over time. The leather pads themselves are made of the same pleather materials as the new stitched headband leather. It was essential for me to find good closed headphones. I like listening to music and sound quality is very important to me. For a closed headphone, tonally the DT 1770 Pro’s coloration and timbre are not right for classical and orchestral works but it is a lot more suitable for synths and digital music. Bass It is not a reference headphone unless you mix day and night on EDM as a way of breathing but it does the job of EDM mixing, particularly on bass channels, very well indeed. There should be a lot of studio people who will appreciate these headphones as a result. beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRo Technical Specifications The DT1779 Pro comes with a choice of two user-replaceable pads; velour and leather. Both will have an impact on isolation and tonal presentation with the velour offering sound isolation of 18dB suppression and the leather upping it to a healthy 21dB suppression.

The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user Mids and treble show roughly similar progression with a subdued upper midrange dip and a treble elevation that, whilst not brittle or too bright, certainly has plenty of sparkle and energy. The DT 1770 PRO treble performance sounds a bit more refined and smoother than the DT770 which stays fairly prominent from 6-10k compared to a tiny bit of easing off by the DT 1770 PRO around 7k. The Beyers are by far more comfortable for me, because the cups are big enough for my giant ears. I really disklike the cable plug on the earcup touching my sholder when I slightly turn my head though The Sound with the Beyers is as good as a Beyer can get. Far easier to listen to than the Beyer DT 990 which were open and which sounded so bright that I returned them. The 1770 sound significantly better than the 1350 and the T51i. The soundstage is just much, much wider. Bass, soundstage, control and neutrality are very good with the Beyers as usual. Build quality on both pretty decent. The DT1770PRO have velour earpads while the LCD-XC use real leather. Both isolate about as much as the other, while each material feels different. I've always been a leather fan, but I prefer the velour.

Technical Specifications

For decades now, users all around the world have been putting their trust in the DT770PRO studio headphones. They are the number one choice for music producers, sound technicians, broadcast users and even us audio fans. The DT770PRO simply is an established piece of equipment in studios, offices and living rooms worldwide. Beyerdynamic felt it was time to update their masterpiece using the latest technologies and so they created the DT1770PRO, the first professional headphone with their already famous Tesla 2.0 technology. Beyerdynamic describes the circumaural (over ear) DT1770PRO as a closed studio reference headphones for mixing, mastering, monitoring and recording and it is the evolution of a studio legend. The DT1770PRO is rated at 250 Ohms and uses the 45 mm dynamic Tesla neodymium driver. Personally, I would classify the DT770 Pro as more of a musical fun headphone now than the DT 1770 PRO which seems far more intent on nailing the needs to a studio when mixing on EDM. Philips A5 Pro Build I love the braided cable, though. It would be a great cable if it wasn't so microphonic (as all the Beyerdynamic cables, really). I can't stress HIGHLY microphonic enough. There's a fan behind me that's turned on during the summer and if I don't play anything I can hear the vibrations of the moving air touching the cable. That's crazy.
