About this deal

JLM’s product is suitable for all turbo-powered diesel engines, applied simply by adding into the fuel tank. One bottle is suitable for mixing with up to 70 litres of diesel fuel, to ensure maximum effect. No further dismantling or assistance is required, simply drive. There are a number of contributing factors to an EGR valve failing, it’s important to understand why they occur and how to prevent them from happening. Products must be returned to RoughTrax at RoughTrax Ltd, Units 4-7 Pixash Business Centre, Pixash Lane, Keynsham, Bristol. BS31 1TP United Kingdom

Think of it this way. You will happily spend a little extra for more data on your phone, a nicer bottle of wine and that slightly plusher sofa. Turbo cleaners simply aim to improve the driving experience of your vehicle. They will maintain its efficiency and reliability, whilst also saving you from expensive repairs in the future. For such a small outlay, there really is a lot to gain and not a lot to lose. Wynn’s Diesel EGR Cleaner 3 takes our top spot and offers exceptional performance everytime. It takes our top spot due to not only it’s excellent performance and cleaning abilities, but also due to it’s versatility. As well as cleaning the EGR Valve, it also cleans and treats the air intake system, airflow sensor, inlet valves, and turbo. Forte turbo cleaner (400ml) reduces the soot emissions coming out of the turbo diesel engine. During the cleaning process the forte turbocharger cleaner also cleans the EGR valve which can also start to clog up with soot. Forte cleaner also cleans the diesel injectors so resulting in better fuel economy and improve performance.

Spray cleaners work slightly differently to pour-in additives, in that they are not added into the fuel tank but directly into the turbo via the inlet pipework. These solutions are sprayed through the inlet hose, after the filter and sensors, allowing it direct access to the turbocharger. So anyone have any ideas how an exhaust gas can carry this cleaning mix or is the answer in the "condensed heavy hydrocarbons " which I assume occur as the exhaust gas starts to cool down after it has passed through the turbo. Because of this, the Oxygen content is lowered and increases the water vapour content to the combustion mixture which reduces combustion temperature. Because more NOx is created as peak combustion temperature rises, the EGR valve effectively reduces the amount of NOx produced the engine.

I agree with number cruncher & wouldn't use engine flush unless it was used on a vehicle from new & used every time the oil was changed. I too have had disatrous results with engine flush.I booked the car in today (after googling turbo issues and the MASSIVE cost of replacement!) and my mechanic hooked it up to diagnostics. There was an overboost fault code, when he got it on the ramp he said he could feel from a lever on it that the turbo vanes were clogged up with carbon. Biofuel Blends: If you’re using biodiesel or other biofuel blends, a diesel engine cleaner can help mitigate issues related to water and microbial growth in the fuel system. Yes, a faulty EGR Valve can cause your car to fail an MOT. The EGR valve is an integral part of the vehicle emissions system and if it isn’t functioning correctly, your car is likely to be producing far too many harmful emissions and will fail the MOT on the emissions produced. Can I Remove The EGR Valve? The EGR valve begins working once the engine is started and is up and running calculating the correct operating temperature and as the speed increases. Steadily and slowly, the EGR valve regulates the flow of exhaust gases. Once your car starts to slow down and the engine stops, the EGR valve will return to its closed position and prevent the flow of exhaust gases. What Are The Symptoms of a Failing EGR Valve?

It’s really important that an EGR valve is kept working at it’s optimum performance and to do that, it needs to be clean and free of carbon deposit build up. This is where an EGR valve cleaner comes in and can work wonders for an engine. Fuel System Issues: If you’re experiencing symptoms like rough idling, poor fuel efficiency, excessive smoke, or reduced power, it may indicate issues with the fuel system, such as clogged injectors or a dirty fuel filter. In such cases, a diesel engine cleaner can help clean the injectors. Other benefits of this product are that it eliminates and avoids starting problems whilst improving accelerating properties. Wynn’s Diesel EGR Extreme Cleaner Is also completely safe for all after-treatment systems. We recommend that the Turbo Cleaners should be used on a regular basis every four thousand miles to clean out the Turbo Vanes, so you do not get the same problem again. If the problem is still there after using the turbo cleaner , the chances are that the turbo vanes / turbo nozzle ring are beyond repair and you will need to either replace the turbo vanes ( which are available in our shop ) or find a turbo company to repair or recondition your turbo.Designed specifically for use in petrol engines, Wynn’s Petrol EGR and Air Intake Cleaner offers great cleaning and restoration abilities. I would be wary of fuel system cleaners - where are they moving the crud to? I would be happier for it to stay in the low tech, cheap parts of my fuel system rather than clog my injectors, thanks all the same! No idea how long this improvement will last but I haven't even finished the tank yet, so the Forte is still running through the system and I may even see additional improvements. Suitable for all diesel engines and those that run biodiesel blends up to B30. Forte recommends using at regular service intervals to remove existing build ups and prevent future issues occurring or to treat existing symptoms when they arise.

It’s simple and straight forward to use and as well as cleaning the valve on the exhaust gas recirculation system, it also cleans the complete intake system and the intake valves. Put simply, an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) is a method to control Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) emissions which are produced during the combustion process. The EGR system works in principle returning a small portion of an engine’s exhaust gas to the engine’s combustion chambers through the intake manifold, thus lowering combustion temperatures and therefore reducing the amount of NOx emitted. NOx is created and emitted when air and fuel mix inside the combustion chamber and temperatures increase. What is NOx?

They claim their turbo cleaner to be the best on the market, removing effectively all soot and dirt for improved efficiency and restored performance, for any diesel-powered turbocharged engine. The product claims to reduce soot emissions produced by the engine to ensure the turbo system stays clean too, allowing ideal air: fuel ratios and maximum longevity for the turbocharger. NOx stands for Nitrogen Oxide and are emissions produced during the process of combustion. Nitrogen and Oxygen gases in the air react during combustion, particularly so at high temperatures. The biggest concern and problem with NOx is the detrimental effect it can have on human health, it can be really nasty. It’s for this reasons why car manufactuers were tasked with reducing NOx as much as possible and thus created systems such as EGR Valves, DPF Filters etc. As well as having a negative effect on human health, NOx can also cause serious damage to the environment. How Does an EGR Valve Work? As mentioned above, Wynn’s have spent their many years in the industry vastly expanding their product portfolio. This means that they have also ventured into the spray turbo cleaner market, understanding the need for a more direct product aimed at those with the know-how and time to implement such a product. The product is safe for use in all diesel and petrol engines, while Ecomotive recommends using the spray around every 3000 miles to keep parts clean and issues to a minimum. Removal and replacement of turbocharger components could be one option to solve the issues, though expect a bill running into thousands rather than hundreds of pounds. For a simple, cost-effective solution, that you can implement at home, look no further than one of the turbo cleaning products below. The Types of Turbo Cleaner
