The performance in the 55-inch model doesn’t scale up as well to the 65-inch unit. Although there’s Dolby Atmos support for a more spacious presentation, for a screen of this size a soundbar is a must if the audio is to match the visuals the Hisense 65U8QFTUK can produce. Hisense 65U8QFTUK conclusion HDR peak brightness and full-field numbers are impressive and in a normal living room that offers excellent levels of dynamics and a rich colourful performance with most content. Only really dark scenes will catch out the U8QF and its aggressive local dimming. SDR content from everyday TV viewing is also very good with a fairly accurate image out of the box with very nice looking colours and no obvious issues. To go with the low lag time, the 65U8G includes the features that gamers are looking for to take advantage of the latest game consoles. With two HDMI 2.1 ports, the 65U8G supports 4K at 120Hz, automatic low latency mode, variable refresh rate and AMD FreeSync, all in an effort to deliver the smoothest game experience possible. The L5F is the second of two Laser TVs that have been introduced for 2022. This model takes advantage of an Ultra Short Throw Laser to produce a 4K Ultra HD image. The Hisense’s Ultra Smooth Motion feature is improved, mirroring the gains found in the step-down 65U7QFTUK. It won’t bother class-leaders Sony and Panasonic, but it is done with greater confidence.
