About this deal

It isn't until at least halfway through the book that we get to meet the only non-white character in the story - a First Nations woman who seems to be there to spout bible verses and talk some sense into Addie. It was at this point that I became suspicious, and then more people started quoting bible verses, and I realized that it might be *gasp* a christian themed book. This only got stronger as the book focused on forgiving terrible people who didn't deserve it. And then when I came to write my review, I discovered that it is indeed christian fiction. Too bad it wasn't labeled that way, or I could have avoided this entire debacle and saved like 12 hours of my life. Kaufman, Amy S. (2007). "The Law of the Lake: Malory's Sovereign Lady". I like what the author says (and shows in the story) about friendship, “Friendships require honesty, trust, nurturing, investments of time and means, and sometimes sacrifice. Often deep friendships are formed during our growing years, as were those of my characters.” Hoyle, Brian (5 August 2012). The Cinema of John Boorman. Rowman & Littlefield. ISBN 9780810883956– via Google Books. In the Lancelot-Grail (Vulgate) prose cycle, the Lady resides in an otherworldly enchanted realm, the entry to which is disguised as an illusion of a lake (the Post-Vulgate explains it as Merlin's work [30]). There, she raises Lancelot from his infancy having stolen him from his mother following the death of his father, King Ban. She teaches Lancelot arts and writing, infusing him with wisdom and courage, and overseeing his training to become an unsurpassed warrior. She also rears his orphaned cousins Lionel and Bors after having her sorcerous damsel Seraide (Saraïde, later called Celise) rescue them from King Claudas. All this takes her only a few years in the human world. Afterwards, she sends off the adolescent Lancelot to King Arthur's court as the nameless White Knight, due to her own affinity with the color white.

Netflix's Cursed Ending: What Happens To Katherine Langford's Nimue And What We Still Don't Know". CINEMABLEND. 31 July 2020.Markale, Jean (1 June 1995). Merlin: Priest of Nature. Simon and Schuster. ISBN 9781620554500– via Google Books. One thing I loved about this book was the redemptive quality of it. So much had happened in the lives of this group of friends, hurt handed out whether known or unknown, but it didn’t mean their story had to end. John 8:32 says that the truth will set you free, and when the truth was revealed, it opened the door to new beginnings.
