About this deal

Or maybe it wasn’t much of a secret because every girl or woman, and quite a few guys, found Harry Potter attractive. Peters first friend in his new school is a spitfire of a girl named Morgan Stark. She’s dark haired, big green eyes and might be responsible for half the sophomore class having unachievable standards. Peter, she says, is the first boy to treat her like more than a priceless painting or a dainty glass figurine. Only Peter knows the stubborn, brilliant mind that would rather have her arms covered in grease while she rebuilds a carburetor in her dads customs shop than take part in things like dance or music like a normal teenage girl. Not that Peter has much room to complain, not when Mr. Stark wears less and less layers as New York is blanketed in summer heat. Language: English Words: 26,371 Chapters: 9/? Is the music coming from here? Maybe someone left it on. Because I think he would've told me if someone was on this floor. There’s lots of secrets that are slowly revealed and the story is incredibly captivating. I literally couldn’t put it down and it’s now after midnight that I’m writing this review 🤣

Not bad writing but this is the longest boring story I have read in awhile. This is just a day to day mantra of a billionaire 45 year old man Andrew and his off and on relationship with a 28 year Guidance Counselor Lannie. She works at his 17 year old daughter Ravens High School. Honey, stop complaining, you're not a baby any more," My mom glared at me through the rear view mirror. I walked past a movie room, arcade, eating place,& so much other things. I didn't have all of these things, but I had some of them. I made my way to the hallway that had rooms. We all know him, or bits of him, and I think that's why I wrote the song. What's weird is, people tell me they can identify someone exactly like that. I'm not sure they can though. I suspect they only see glimpses of someone they recognise. The odds of them actually knowing someone who would rather fry an egg on a Travelodge iron than have dinner with his wife and her son are probably slim. This hasn't stopped people commenting on my song.

Andrew is having problems with his 17 year old daughter Raven. He's been a single parent for 10 years, and has been in the typical workaholic mode for years. Blakee is a Scottish mob boss and the former friend of Bonnie's dad. Bonnie and her dad lives small apartment, after the death of her mom in a hit and run accident. Her dad has taken his wife's death hard and started hanging around the wrong crowd and gambling all their money away. Bonnie needs exposure and is obsessed with finding the answers on who killed her. Her dad's final gamit was to gamble away their rent which put Bonnie in a peculiar position in leaving the apartment to go and find money. Blake used to be a best friend to her parents but Bonnie's mother's death drove them apart. Now learning that his old best friend is in financial trouble, he offers a maid job to Bonnie. When Bonnie comes to the interview, he knows with one glance that she is meant to be his. He refuses to let her go. However she won't let him close unless he tells the truth of his relationship to her father. Blake knows that her dad has been lying to her about her mother's death but he is uncomfortable about revealing her father's lie. The lie is keeping them apart.

Lots of drama, but in a good way. Their obstacles come in the form of Lanie's mom and the fact that (title is a big clue!) Andrew's very close friend is her dad! Uncomfortable much?

Lanie's parents are not happy when she begins dating Andrew. The seventeen year difference bothers them, and they don't even know about her connection with Raven, and Andrew's connection with Lanie's dad. This story was first incredibly sweet for a mafia story. I LOVED the FMC & MMC together. While the story definitely has darkness, there’s also a lot of sweetness & care to balance it out. This is definitely one of my favorites of this series. Just when I thought I was going in the right of the direction of the plot, the mayhem veers off someplace else! For all the heartbreak, and infuriating stubbornness that seems to weave its way into these characters mindsets, even if they think they're doing the right thing. Gah! ( or maybe it's just me, it has been known to happen < clears throat looks away. >) There is copious of wittiness, fun banter, to downright scorching heat- I am talking~ hey, now where did that man come from... and can we have some more of that..?! Along with some pretty sage advice from a teenager here n there that makes me think maybe my teen is capable of ... NAH! Not possible! Just a good reminder of WHY I do read fiction! Ha.

You mean Lucinda? Then yes," My mother said sounding a bit annoyed. We both hated her. She ruined our family. She was fired when my mum found out. I'm painfully aware of how many songs there are about how much a woman loves a man. There simply aren't enough songs about the middle-aged man who babysat you once and thought it was grand for you to stay up watching Videodrome. The guy who used to sit in your kitchen smoking fags and telling your mother how much of a legend your dad was the time they went to Lanzarote, but he can still beat him at arm wrestling.Any usual day by the pool with your best friend and he would appear at the patio door, with a beer in his hand asking you both if you would want a drink. His eyes lingering on your body for a second more than he should. Blurring the lines of what was appropriate for a second only. Being attracted to your best friend’s dad can be hard, especially with him tempting you while your friends are in the next room Language: English Words: 1,382 Chapters: 1/1 Collections: 1 Comments: 7 Kudos: 729 Bookmarks: 68 Hits: 162,050 But Ginny felt that her crush just might be bigger than everyone else's because she actually knew Harry, or as she called him Mr. Potter. I've been told that it is a withering portrait of narcissistic self-deception by a man who so thoroughly believes his own lies that his impending existentialist crisis, brought on by post-recession financial devastation and ever diminishing youth, will only force him further down the path of increasingly aggressive assertion of his self worth. But you could say that kind of thing about any song.

As the story begins we are introduced to Lanie Jacobs who has just landed her perfect job - counselor at South Seattle High School. Not only is it her dream job, it was also her first application for a counseling job and it turns out, she is exactly where she is supposed to be. With her perfect job in place, the only thing she desires now is a relationship filled with passion, thrills and love. Has she used up her good fortune with the job or does fate have another answered prayer in her future? My Father's Best Friend grabbed hold of my head and heart. A story that felt right and was begging to be told, I am so glad I got the chance to read it!Bonnie and her dad have been alone for a long time after her mother was killed in a hit and run accident. Bonnie is determined to become a detective and find the man who killed her mother and bring him to justice. Meanwhile she is struggling to make ends meet since her dad lost his job. She feels pretty hopeless when he tells her they will not be able to pay the rent but then he shows her an ad in the paper. Someone is looking for a maid and is paying top dollar. When she arrives at Blake's house she is instantly drawn to the older man. He offers her the job as a live-in maid but Bonnie refuses it because she can tell something suspicious is going on. Blake refuses to let her leave and she figures out that Blake used to be a friend of her father's and that he is a criminal. Bonnie use all her detective skills to learn the truth but he attraction for Blake is clouding her mind. I love how the story was about an older man and a younger professional who defied the odds of falling in love. I love how mature they acted together, although when there were some bumps in the road, one of them freaked out. It was ominous and exasperating when you think about it, being burdened with decisions on what would be best for the two of them, but I guess that's how reality really was. I love how the characters dealt with the circumstances, admitted their shortcomings and learned how to forgive and move forward. Bonnie was suspicious when her father pushed her to apply for the job as a maid, but she never suspected her new boss was her dad’s ex-best friend or that she would not be able to return home, once she entered the boss’ house. When Blake made the agreement with Bonnie’s dad, he never thought his best friend’s daughter would end up being his soulmate or that she would be the reason for him to change his grumpy behaviour.
