About this deal

There is so much weird drama, from an unexpected 11-year old being dropped off at the hero's house to the heroine's manic and spiteful sister to her mysteriously quitting without notice, etc. The hero is a clueless manchild who is both controlling and dismissive. He cannot be bothered to step up and be an adult. He kidnaps the heroine to "take care of her", completely ignoring her desire to be at home.

Our hands brush when they don't need to. Our touches linger. Our eyes find each other in crowded rooms.started off with the MMC being an unbearable, villain-asshole, but #hefellfirst so by 40% he became extremely obsessive, doting and loving, which I liked Outside of it being way overdone, the power imbalance is such a turnoff. I especially hate the plot in which the heroine in desperate financial straits needs sexy billionaire to save her/family/business from ruin and becomes said sexy billionaire's living sex toy then they fall in love (ugh). Seriously just call such arrangements sex work and get on with it, which frankly would be a lot more realistic and I'd enjoy more. During your commute: If you take public transportation or have a long commute, you may find it helpful to use that time to read.

I found Nova’s hesitance to let personal feelings and her personal life interact with her professional life very relatable. I liked that she was the most emotionally reserved of the MC’s I’ve read in this series. It made her more relatable to be and it made Adam breaking down her walls even more impactful. Early morning: Some people find that reading in the morning helps them start their day with a positive and productive mindset. Book 6 of the Billionaire Dads series brings us a story where Adam Harrison (Billionaire, Genius inventor) and Nova Delaney (ruthless, ambitious and stubborn-as-hell executive assistant) have been working together for over 7 years. They love each other but swear up and down they can't be together, especially Nova - who's convinced herself to always put sky-high walls up and draw steep boundaries whenever she's around him. Things are made worse when an 11-year-old boy shows up out of nowhere with claims that Adam is his father.

I have mixed feelings on the Lyra story. I don’t entirely understand the purpose of that storyline. I get that it was partially to show Adam seeing the part of her personal life Nova was ashamed of others knowing about. I can’t help but wish it hadn’t been a lesson that those without money and poor pasts might never change. I wished it was going to show that Lyra turned her life around and that Nova didn’t have to shame people like that to maintain respect. Instead, it was just a story that gave me secondhand embarrassment because that whole ordeal had to have reflected poorly on Nova. So, the only MC with a good relationship with a sister is… DeJonae? During the day: If you have a flexible schedule, you may find it helpful to take breaks during the day to read a book. And I hate that man with the passion of a thousand suns even if he’s the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. When I first read this part I was like "you go Girl!" and much of the book was her standing up to him, and standing up for the deaf children she champions. Of course Ryotaro is confused, haughty, yet admiring of this gorgeous dark-skinned spitfire who does something to him. Nova and Adam might be the best matched of the couples in this series. I was reminded of Terms and Conditions with how intricately their lives were connected. I liked that we see a lot of Nova’s skill instead of just being told she’s great at her job. I love how obviously devoted Adam was to her and how he constantly looked out for. (Obviously, their “I wait for you” speech was inspired by that scene where Fitz declares his devotion to Olivia in Scandal)
