About this deal

The Siglent SDS1004X-E is a very high quality four channel digital storage oscilloscope. It features a real-time sample rate of up to 1 GSa/s and a bandwidth of 200 MHz along with a standard record length of 14 Mpts. The SDS1x04X-E series scopes aren’t expensive, yet they are certainly not the cheapest DSOs around. But then again, some might be looking for the best value for money rather than just the cheapest price.

The question is, which one do you need? While Siglent Technologies has a better oscilloscope, some users may not need all that power. For basic tasks, Rigol’s unit may be the best choice. Conclusion In the past I would have to visually link the separate logic analyzer with a channel on the scope and/or use external trigger and it was kind of a pain so now having all of it on one screen and synchronized is pretty much a dream

That also means, that with SDS1104X-E, you can get good measurement of signals that are 10x lower than with DS1054Z.Qty 2 50 Ohm BNC terminations: Matches the DUT impedance (50 Ohms) to the high impedance inputs of the scope (the X-E models do not have 50 Ohm inputs): Due to this technology the minimal voltage per division is only 500µV. Another part of this technology is a new way of constantly triggering the The Siglent SDS1104X-E is the new 4-channel version of the very popular 1202X-E. This scope offers a lot of quality at a really affordable price. The oscilloscope will begin to plot the amplitude and phase vs. frequency as shown (Since we selected scope input CH2, the Phase is dark pink. Amplitude is light pink. Data from CH1 has shades of yellow. CH3 data has shades of blue. CH4 data has shades of green):

Again, Thanks. I find opinions here to be well thought out unlike motorcycle forums, then again, it's a collection of engineers. Most of you have more innate BW than I will ever need.

Optional Accessories …

Personally, I waited for a campaign where all the options were included in the base price (tells something about the manufacturer's real costs and profit margins), but it is not guaranteed that such bargains happen in a reasonable time frame, or even ever again (at least for particular scope series). Here are a few oscilloscope frames captured manually sweeping and measuring the direct (CH1/Yellow) and through signals (CH2/Pink): Quite unique is that the SDS1104X-E scope comes standard with a decoding capability for serial signals. This way the scope is able to Press Sweep to open the Sweep menu. Here, you can set the mode, sweep start/stop frequencies and resolution:

The Bode function is also included with SDS1104X-E, SDS1204X-E, SDS2000X-E, SDS2000X Plus, SDS5000X, and SDS6000A series digital oscilloscopes. We’d give the slight edge to the Siglent oscilloscopes because of slightly newer technology but you really can’t go wrong either way. What Is An Oscilloscope? Although one could argue whether or not they’re even necessary, it’s quite clear that they do help improve signals relationship as well as the logic data. Intelligent trigger: Edge, Slope, Pulse Width, Window, Runt, Interval, Timeout (Dropout), and PatternI'm primarily using a scope on tube guitar amplifiers, microphones, and sometimes guitar effect pedals. Anything beyond that will be out of curiosity or for fun and not essential. Even the FFT function will probably only be out of curiosity, but it may prove useful. I don't know yet. With Sigrok you can use a generic CY7C68013 board with 16 inputs. These boards do not have input protection, You can add that yourself,or you can buy a bunch of them (They cost around EUR 7) and see howlong they last. But Sigrok also supports many more and much better hardware. I'm curious about the Siglent SDS1104X-E vs. Rigol DS1054Z. I understand the main differences, and the two things that peak my interest are that, from what I've read, the FFT appears to be better on the Siglent, and the Siglent has double the sampling rate in multi-channel use. There’s no doubt that the Siglent SDS1104X-E is among the most efficient digital oscilloscopes currently available. The many features included deliver remarkable performance providing useful new characteristics such as the built-in web server. We’ll talk about that later. First, let’s talk about the unit’s design.
