About this deal

Is the sound that the electric air duster makes. It’s not too loud to be painful, but it sure is loud! One way to describe the sound is; that if someone crammed 10 hairdryers into a smaller format and this is what you would get sound-wise.

After all, the portable form factor makes it the best duster for getting deep into crowded full tower cases. It is only 0.66 pounds and can be tilted sideways or upside down unlike a can of compressed gas. It recharges via micro USB in about 3 hours, so it is easy to keep close to your rig and have ready when you need it. Update (05/11/2019): Looks like I completely forgot to upload the actual pictures (oops!), but since I just finished cleaning my refrigerator coils in about 2 minutes time with almost no effort I thought I better upload those pictures here and mention how pleased I have been with this CompuCleaner. I think I’ve owned it for over a year now and used it probably to just clean all things from computers and radiators to now refrigerators that aren’t performing as they should be for about…. 20 cans’ worth of compressed air? Although this is not comparable with the cans you can buy because you can clean so much better with this. So while the price tag may seem a bit steep, you’ll save so much more money in the end not only in the sense that this is cheaper to run over long time, but also because it’s so powerful and easy to use that you will save money on repairing the damages caused by dust & overheating. As you probably can gather from the title, I absolutely love this thing (yes, even if it sounds a bit sad and/or weird) – but at the same time I feel so stupid for buying and buying cans of compressed air over and over again…. Just should have done the investment for an electric one ages ago and I would have saved so much money! Not sure what to look for when it comes to the best electric air duster? Take a look at this buyer’s guide. PowerThe X3 Hurricane’s built-in battery allows it to run at full power for up to 15 minutes. Combine this with its compact form factor and a set of five straw-shaped detachable nozzles and it simply doesn’t get easier to clean your PC. The attachment selection doesn’t support uses beyond cleaning electronics but this is where the X3 shines anyway. This electric duster is still guaranteed to last, though. In fact, Canless Air (the company that makes the X3) guarantees a lifetime warranty on this product. This is great because Li-ion batteries don’t last forever and that would otherwise limit the lifespan of this product. To that point, though, the battery in the X3 can last beyond 750 power cycles and only takes about 4 to 6 hours to recharge. So you've committed to keeping your PC clean. Great. But how often should you actually open up your case and blow out dust? The answer depends on where you keep your PC. Generally speaking, you should do a light dusting every three to six months, but you may want to clean your case more frequently if you keep your desktop on the floor, where dust tends to accumulate. The same applies if you have pets in the house, as the hair and dander they shed can do a number on your rig's internal components. Electric Duster VS Compressed Air Can

Electric air dusters are either mains or battery powered. Those powered by the mains are a little more faff to use, as you have to navigate a cord, but there’s no worry about battery life. Battery powered air dusters are convenient and easy to use. Most have a run time of under 30 minutes so are fine for small cleans. Speed Settings Unlike disposable air cleaning solutions, the CompuCleaner will never lose power and is always ready to use. This not only makes it environmentally friendly but will also save you money. A very popular and powerful electric air duster that has been trusted by many users.MetroVac DataVac ED-500 is a 500-Watt electric duster with a 0.75HP motor and comes with various attachments or nozzles to clean different things. It can be used to clean Desktop PC, laptops, keyboards, camera lenses, MacBook keyboards, CPU heatsinks, case fans, and various other electronics and household items.

The only downside so far…

The CompuCleaner Original 2 is the latest edition to the bestselling CompuCleaner electric air duster range. This freshly updated model features a new innovative internal layout and motor assembly to further maximise output and reduce weight. These design changes have tuned the already powerful CompuCleaner Original into an even more effective cleaning machine. Simply plug the device into mains power and benefit from endless clean and powerful air flow. It never runs out like canned air spray saving you money.

You can use compressed air dusters or an electric air duster on your computer without having to worry. When using compressed air dusters, be sure to pay particular attention to the manufacturer’s usage instructions, to ensure that a minimum of liquid is released. Use them in short bursts and hold the can upright. ERGONOMIC: The lightweight and robust design houses an industrial 500 watt (.0.75hp) motor that will never lose pressure and is built to last. Weighing in at just 900g, the CompuCleaner can be used at any angle unlike canned air making it super manoeuvrable. It has a built-in air filter that removes particulate matter from the incoming air and a variable power control that allows you to control the power of the airstream, making it easy to go light on delicate fans and CPUs. This also makes it easy to regulate the two unavoidable side effects of noise and heat. The X3 Hurricane produces plenty of both.

While the ED500-ESD is nearly identical to the MetroVac ED500P, this model is better (and more expensive) because it is grounded, is made from ESD-safe plastic, and comes with an anti-static wrist strap. This helps to prevent damage to your PC’s most sensitive components. But don’t fully discount the ED500P for PC case cleaning, as many users have reported safely using the ED500P to clean out their PC cases for years without any negative consequences. The ED500P is a totally capable electric duster, which is almost powerful enough to do yard work. But this is not without its downsides. The first one you will notice is that the DataVac is quite loud. It is easily as loud as a Shop-Vac and if you plan to do some serious cleaning projects with it, you may want to consider ear protection. The other side effect is that this device runs hot after a few minutes of use. Thankfully, the sturdy plastic handle mitigates any discomfort that this may cause while you are using it, though you should still avoid touching its all-steel frame when you use it. Dust is going to get into your PC even if you have a positive pressure system with air filters on all your fans. When the dust bunnies really pile up, they can impede airflow in your PC case and cause components to overheat. You have to stay on top of it before it negatively impacts your PC's performance. And that usually means a costly part replacement to match.

Most electric air dusters weigh around 2kg, with the lightest designs weighing just a few hundred grams. Handle comfort is just as important as weight, so look for a large and grippy handle if you’re going to be using your air duster for long periods of time. Attachments As I've mentioned above, these electric air dusters are quite strong and they should be treated with the respect you would give to any other power tool. They are technically loud enough to warrant ear protection during extended use and should not be used around pets or children under the age of 5.The XPower A-2 Airrow Pro is one of the most useful electric dusters around because its high-powered motor and nine detachable nozzles lend it to additional uses beyond dust removal. This electric duster comes with three different air pump adapters so that it can be used to inflate airbeds, small boats, and other inflatables.
