About this deal

The print quality is theoretically the same for both 3D printers. They use the same nozzle with a 0.4 mm diameter and both have a print accuracy of 0.1 mm. You need to perform this type of leveling regularly on the Ender-5 Pro. With the Ender-5 S1, you only need to perform it once after assembly and can then run the automatic leveling regularly. Extruder Ender-5 S1 Ender-5 Pro When the printer boots you may see the TH3D logo on your LCD, printers with low-end CPUs may not show a TH3D logo but all will show a Marlin screen with TH3D Studio showing on the version information. Reset your EEPROM! #

Build volume determines the size of the prints you can create, so is a feature well worth mulling over before pulling out your credit card. The Ender 3 V2 has a 220 x 220 x 250 mm build volume, while the Ender 5 Pro offers a slightly larger 220 x 220 x 300 mm.

Coming at you hot and fast.

Unfortunately, the torture toaster was not as successful, and I would blame this on the filament used. This is recycled PLA which is quite brittle and you can see some sections where the extrusion was not correct. This made the lever break when trying to raise the toast, and the small overhangs have clear signs of missed layers in some sections. This 3D printer isn’t exactly pre-assembled; a growing number of machines are coming as a couple of sub-assemblies that can be put together in a few minutes. With the Ender 5 S1 you have to build the thing, but this is a much simpler task than building our Ender 3 was. There are four main components – the upper and lower frames, the Z axis drive mechanism and the build plate – then the vertical frame members and a handful of smaller components. Looks and construction-wise, the Ender 3 V2 changes from its predecessor with a sharp, sheet metal injection and plastic panel design, doing away with the low-cost look for a more cohesive finish that gives it an extra touch of class.

The Ender 3 has a 220 x 220 x 300 mm build volume, while the Ender 5 comes in a little larger on the Z-axis with a 220 x 220 x 250 mm build. The precise linear rail on the X-axis has a carriage slide containing ball bearings, making each move accurate, steady, and frictionless (0.04 friction coefficient). There's also the option to add an enclosure if you frequently print with more advanced materials such as ABS and Nylon. Creality has also confirmed that it will be compatible with the Creality Sonic Pad. Performance If you’re printing an object and you’re uncertain if you have enough filament left on the spool, you don’t have to worry about that with a filament sensor because you can easily add more. Without a filament sensor like the Ender-5 Pro, you need to be certain you have enough filament for your project. On paper, the difference equates to a 50 mm vertical difference. Whether this matters comes down to whether you’ll make use of that extra vertical capacity, but we wouldn’t recommend favoring the Ender 5 over the Ender 3 solely because it offers a small print area boost. On the right side of the printer, an LCD display attached to the gantry lets you directly operate the device. The rotating dial lets you navigate the menu and select the printing settings in just a few steps.

Palette– a paid for upgrade, the Palette is an add-on filament splicer that allows you to mix and match colors and material types. It’s compatible with both the Ender 3 and Ender 5.Creality earned its fame by having fully open-source hardware and firmware, even making their full specs available to anyone who wants them. Both official and non-official upgrades and modifications are all over the internet for both models. In the configuration.h file there are printer models you can uncomment to tell the firmware what machine you are setting it up for. Uncomment means removing the // in front of a setting and you will be left with #define XXXXXX if an option is enabled. Let’s not beat around the bush here: like most manufacturers, Creality loves to burnish its marketing material by mentioning materials the machines can theoretically handle – but the best filaments for the Ender 3 and Ender 5 are definitely PLA and PETG. Bed Strain Relief: it is a support structure for the heated bed wires. It reduces the risk of damage while increasing printer safety. BLTouch Auto Bed Leveling Sensor– the king of third-party automatic bed leveling upgrades, the mighty BL Touch pairs beautifully with both the Ender 3 and Ender 5.
