About this deal

Stormdry comes with a 25-year one-coat guarantee which means that unless something extraordinary occurs, your home will be protected for at least a quarter-century before re-applying the cream.

BREATHABLE Allows masonry to breathe and dry naturally. Easy to Apply Penetrating Damp Treatment that maintains thermal properties of cavity wall insulation Stormdry has produced test results and literature claiming that wet walls are colder walls, and once treated with Stormdry, consumers may see a reduction in their energy usage as their walls will be warmer.Microshield Ultra Cream can be applied by roller, brush or airless spraying at a rate of 0.2l/m². A single application of Microshield Ultra at this rate is generally sufficient.Due to its creamy consistency, you can simply apply the waterproofing cream onto walls and overhangs without dripping or running. The milky-white cream disappears without any residues left on the surface. After approximately 2 hours (@ 20 degrees celsius) the application is rain tight (this will be extended for colder conditions), the water beading effect develops within 7 days of treatment.Microshield Ultra is able to withstand even extreme weather conditions without any affect to its performance. NB:The substrate must be clean, dust free and dry. Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +10 °C to max. +25 °C for a minimum of 24 hours. Application Method

Ease of application– We found Stormdry very easy to apply; it was like mayonnaise and adhered to the brush and wall very well and didn’t drip much. We first brushed off any loose dust and then applied the cream using narrow brushes around the window frames and wider brushes on the rest of the wall. We see no reason why the user couldn’t use a roller, but we chose brushes so we could dab the cream into the small indentations and crevices on the wall. Smartseal's 'Climashield' protective masonry cream is also widely used as an energy saving product. By helping to keep walls dry, thermal efficiency within your household is greatly increased. When used in conjunction with other energy-saving systems, savings as high as 29% can be expected. If used as a stand-alone treatment, average savings of 5-6% per annum on energy bills is realistic.Depending on the porosity of the substrate, the coverage of PermaSEAL Facade Cream in one coat is approximately 0.15 - 0.20 l/m². This ensures that the interior is protected from severe weather and penetrating damp, but any residual moisture or water vapour is still able to escape. Both employees and self-employed workers will pay less in National Insurance from next year, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has announced in today's Autumn Statement.

Damp proof paint isn’t designed for external use – it’s best used internally to protect against damp. We agree. Stormdry was very easy to apply and we found it wasn’t nearly as messy as we thought it would be. We’ve previously tested liquid-based wall sealers that dripped everywhere and in our opinion, this cream-based alternative is easier to apply. Claim 3: Low odour The vast majority of buildings in the UK have two walls and a cavity, so these figures may not apply to you. Microshield Ultra is a creamy impregnating agent, based on silanes and siloxanes. Our waterproofing cream protects the material while preserving the water vapour permeability. It doesn't affect the appearance of the material surface.Water simply beads and runs off, and the material can maintain its natural moisture balance. The remarkable penetration of Microshield Ultra into the substrate guarantees exceptionally long-lasting and reliable protection from penetrating damp.
