But the best part is how it behaves. It starts like a cologne. Dear fellow Americans, colognes are type of perfumes, not ALL perfumy stuff for men. Forgive me for the interruption. So, it starts zesty and juicy and zingy and with time it transforms into this delightful slightly smoky, balmy, woody, powdery iris and orris. Very subtle, refined and incredibly close to skin. It stays for quite some time, but it's so intimate and comfortable that it's easy to get use to it.

As an iris lover, I was keen to try Infusion d'Iris, and bought a miniature of the original 2007 version. It is a very light, soapy scent with disappointing longevity, but is pleasant and easy to wear. As many reviewers before me have mentioned, it smells like Johnson's Baby products - powdery, softly sweet and comforting, yet not what I look for in a perfume. There are shades of Chanel No. 19 Poudré here too, but I find that Infusion is less sophisticated.Something feels bright and medicinaly cold makeing my nose feel cold as well but i really like it im unsure what that note is but it may be how the orange blossom is comeing through or is there a little pepper ? The note pyramid mostly tells you all you need to know, since they pulled half the notes out. The former mandarin/orange topnotes are gone, and boy do I miss them a lot. Id’I is one of my favorite perfumes, and though the orange topnotes last only a minute or two, when I first apply the perfume, it just lets me happily anticipate what’s coming, like, “Yeah, this is ON!!” If you know what I mean.

also a tad too old fashioned perhaps... the velour powder puff association doesn't leave my head either. A brand new puff that still has the new car smell, smothered in various scented powders. I just notice that Prada fragrances are now transferred to L'oreal and they are now made in France. It smells clean and expensive. It you like this kind of stuff, go directly for 200 ml, because frankly the smaller ones are just too expensive. And even if you don't want to, you will end up using it like a cologne, you will overspray it and FREQUENTLY in summer. As it behaves like a cologne, you will treat it like one.The barely noticeable rose gives the aroma a noble feel. The warmth is provided by vanilla and ambergris. Although the scent is a little powdered, it never feels dry or dusty. Its aroma captivates you long after the initial spray and is sophisticated, stylish, and elegant. Infusion d'Iris EDP Absolue is aloof, yet contemplative with a graceful and dignified character. The perfume opens with clean, soapy, lush blossoms that make way for a cool, waxy iris with an empyrean air. Neroli brings a natural aldehyde-like quality and classiness to the fragrance.
