Hours of Work: Two 5.5 hour shifts (3.45pm – 9.15pm) per week are available. As a front line service, you may be required to still attend the premises on occasions. Hold a relevant counselling children and young people qualification, or willing to commit to TIC+ CYP Level 5 Diploma (next course commencing September 2023, information available at ticplus.org.uk/training). We’re looking for peripatetic counsellors to join our dedicated, professional team working with children and young people (aged 9-25). have received specialist Cyber Therapist training of at least 80 hours to work with young people remotely and online according to the BACP competencies: https://www.bacp.co.uk/events-and-resources/ethics-and-standards/competences-and-curricula/online-and-phone-therapy (It may be possible to provide this training for the right candidate).

Reading over a conversation you’ve had with us in the past could be upsetting, and might drag up things you would rather forget. When you use the PSAL we ask you to give us some basic information, but we can’t identify you from this information. This includes your gender, ethnicity and the area you live. TIC+ is a Gloucestershire based charity which is committed to Crisis Prevention, Intervention and Care for teenagers. This is achieved through education in schools and through a range of advice, support counselling and care services, including advice over the phone. They operate in various schools in the county and at various counselling centres. They work in the Forest of Dean, Stroud, Tewkesbury, Cheltenham and Gloucester districts. They provide advice to parents (including parenting courses and family counselling as well as working with young people on an individual basis. They can offer advice - or sign-post - on most issues relating to young people. TIC+ staff have the option of completing the Level 5 Diploma free of charge, subject to the following conditions:
