About this deal

Designed to give a brilliant smear-free finish, Autoglym Aqua Car Wax benefits you by working when the car is still wet and producing a high gloss in half the time. It can be used to protect all exterior surfaces, leaving your car with a dazzling shine. The immediate benefit is that there is no need to dry the car between washing and polishing. Using a clean microfibre cloth, spread Rapid Aqua Wax until there is an even coating over all surfaces

Only 2-4 sprays are needed per panel – anymore and Aqua Wax can be difficult to buff off. Simply spray onto the car and wipe each panel with the microfiber cloth applicator. Once done, follow up by buffing off the residue with a separate clean microfiber cloth. You’ll then be left with a decent shine and wax protection that provides impressive water beading.Pastes generally provide the best finish, but often require buffing to bring out the shine after application. Sprays and liquids can be applied much faster, and some don’t require a second buff, but their finishes tend to be less impressive. Traditional hard wax or cream polishes can take quite a while to apply, require a fair amount of elbow grease and can’t be used if the paintwork has any water on it whatsoever… and that’s highly likely after you’ve just washed and leathered the car, so the only answer is to wait while the bodywork fully dries. This can take hours.

Aqua Wax is a liquid spray formula (containing real carnauba wax) that is great in providing a ‘top-up’ wax protection and shine to your paintwork. Best of all, this is achieved in a short, easy application process that can be done straight after washing/rinsing, when the car is still dripping wet. The product can be applied to all exterior surfaces, including rubber trim and glass – although not on the windscreen, as this can cause smearing. Ceramic wax is the next big thing in car wax. Proper ceramic waxing is best left to the experts thanks to the long curing time required, but it will leave a hard coating that can last for years. There are also hybrid ceramic options that blend synthetic wax with silicon dioxide ceramic to give you similar results that you can do yourself. Available as a paste, spray or liquid it won’t last as long as proper ceramic coating but it's far easier to apply. For the driver seeking to renew that like-new smell, the Autoglym provides autofresh air freshener in 500ml spray bottles. Most automotive deodorizers are passive, but this is an active product that allows you to target the sources of unpleasant odors. It also has a permeating effect that creates a refreshing and long-lasting fragrance throughout the vehicle interior.

Autoglym Aqua Car Wax 500ml

Not all wax is the same and it’s worth knowing the different types so you can get the right results:

Polishing your car is a great way to fade small scratches and imperfections. Find out how with our handy guide. Wax acts as a protectant to your paint. If you've ever been gifted some artisan waxed cheese you'll be familiar with the protective qualities of a wax casing; it'll protect the cheese from water, sun and other contaminants. Car wax works the same but on a much larger scale and the layer it forms is invisible. A good car was won't wear off easily and will protect your paint from heat, UV rays, water and other contaminants. Some of the more expensive waxes will also provide a nice deep shine. Aqua Wax can be applied to all exterior surfaces, including paint, rubber, plastic and glass. Aqua Wax contains real carnauba wax and allows you to wax and dry your car at the same time. It has the protective benefits of a hard wax, but can be applied in a fraction of the time.Spray wax is more of a top-up product and won't last anywhere near as long as the others but it's still useful if you're in a rush. Most waxes should be applied after you’ve washed the car and dried it with a chamois leather or microfiber cloth. Synthetic wax is also referred to as paint sealant. Making use of synthetic polymers that bond with your car’s paint to create a tough layer of protection. They can last up to 12 months but won’t offer the same shine as carnauba wax. Keeping your car’s paintwork in prime condition requires a combination of regular washing and waxing – although the latter is often put off due to time constraints.

Shake well and apply Rapid Aqua Wax sparingly to all exterior surfaces excluding the windscreen. 2-3 sprays per panel are sufficient. Most detailers will recommend using a clay bar first if you're wanting to apply wax to your car. This will keep your paintwork free of any contaminants so you get a better overall finish. If you want to know more about this process, we've written a guide to clay barring. Natural car waxes tend to last for a good six to eight weeks, while synthetic waxes and sealants can last longer – often for over three months. Don’t expect them to look as good, though. Make sure your car is as clean as possible and towel dry. Inspect the paint to see if polishing will be needed before you apply your wax. There isn't much point waxing a scruffy, stone chipped mess of a car. If your paint is looking good then all you need to do is make sure your car isn't in direct sunlight before you set to work waxing it. Let your car gleam with pride using Autoglym aqua wax. Autoglym aqua wax comes with two microfibre cloths and is able to deliver a perfect finish every time on all exterior surfaces. Better yet, it can ever go on wet, immediately after washing. However, Aqua Wax is only one option in a robust product line of polish and polish alternatives developed by Autoglym. Their extra gloss protection, which comes in 325ml bottles, is also quite popular; particularly among professional finishers. Autoglym extra gloss protection doesn’t contain any polishing or cleaning agents, and it provides a durable, deep gloss film on all metallic, clear-coat and water-based finishes.

Whatever the weather, keep your car protected with the best products
