This isn’t the first time LEGO has made a Slave I in microfighter scale – there was one released in 2012! However, that was a promotional set exclusive to Star Wars Celebration, and while the older model had a less stubby design, I think the 2023 model is more detailed overall. Certain vehicles are particularly suitable for Microfighters, transitioning easily and retaining their most recognisable features. I imagine the Slave I has proven rather difficult, given how long this iconic vessel has taken to join the series. Fortunately, 75344 Boba Fett's Starship Microfighter was undoubtedly worth waiting for! The combination of reddish brown and dark red across the forearms looks nice as well. The rifle bears little resemblance to Boba Fett's classic EE-3 carbine, which is a shame, but this was probably inevitable because of the stud shooter.
