Another highlight of the Mini Bomber is its small size. When it’s not needed, it can easily be stashed in most cars. You simply drape the pad over the tailgate and fasten the traps to secure it in place. When you want to transport bikes, you place them over the tailgate and use the velcro cradle system which wraps around the bikes’ frames to keep them secured in transit. For most of us, our local bike shop will always come to the rescue for major repairs that require specialty tools or mechanic skills beyond our knowledge. But it doesn’t hurt to learn a few simple fixes or even to service your own bike to prevent small problems from becoming bigger (and more expensive) ones. And by working on your own bike, you not only save time and money, you also become more familiar with it and get to know how it works.

Clamp-style stands hold the bike by the seatpost or frame tubes (although clamping the tubing can damage your frame, so we’d recommend the seatpost). They don’t work well on all aero seatposts and non-round tubes, since the clamping mechanism is usually circular. Exceeding this load invalidates the warranty of the bike carrier, vehicle and the towbar. Any "clip" on accessories, e.g. pumps, bottles, bags etc. should be removed to reduce weight.
