By using the Service, and by creating an account you represent, warrant and confirm that you are of legal age. The company is obsessed with oak casks. They carefully select and cut European and American oaks. Their quality of cask contributes 80% of the final flavor to the whiskey. It also gives the natural color to the whiskey. Consumption of moderate amounts of whiskey is also very advantageous to health. It raises the amount of good cholesterol in the body that helps to lower the risk of heart disease. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder of the Terms shall continue in full force and effect. We may sell, license, transfer, assign or in any other way dispose of the Service (including Members) to any third party without any notification to you, e.g. (but without limitation) in connection with any reorganization, restructuring, merger or sale, or other transfer of assets.

All-in-all it is a decent whisky and has been one of my favorites on and off over the last few years. It’s a weird cycle that happens with Highland Park 12 (and a couple other bottles) yet it’s not one of my favorite whiskies. It’s good for sure, and I love it while I have it, but as soon as I’m done I move on. It’s not one I HAVE to keep in the house, but one I enjoy thoroughly when it is. Highland Park is one of the few distilleries that follows the traditional method of floor malting. The brand uses the labour-intensive process of regular hand-turning barley before being kilned with Orkney peats. Highland Park 12 is made on the island of Orkney using whisky aged for at least 12 years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and ex-Bourbon casks. From multiple sources online it seems like the ratio of those casks is 9:1 meaning that it’s about 10% bourbon casks in each batch.
