About this deal

ASUS® TUF GAMING B550-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s) - ARGB Ready! Excellent motherboard, already has a 2.5Gb ethernet port Primary use is gaming and I play WarThunder, Tarkov, Virmintide 2 - not anything super crazy, nor do I want the ultimate, pixel perfect, 4k experience. I'm genuinely wanting something that will give good, consistent performance across the board. I don't stream and have no real interest in it, I would consider some very light touch VR as I have wanted to try something like DCS which sounds like is a far better experience with VR. Something relatively quiet would be nice as well. Unsurprisingly the laptop can be a Harrier Jump Jet when it is really performing...

The 5000T is a PC case for showing off your components as it is a home for them. The huge tempered glass side panel offers a window to its clean-cut innards and color-matched accessories. You won't find cable in sight with its clever cable management, either.

Mid Tower Cases

It's technically compatible in that it'll all fit, but on the other hand it's not really got enough in certain areas to get full performance. In particular, the case could be restrictive as it's very restrictive of airflow which reduces cooling. The 3080 is very demanding on cooling. The Ceres 500 is very much designed to be placed on the right-hand side of your desk, and it makes perfect sense. Cases with side windows are much more likely to be placed on the right-hand side of your desk anyway, and with that in mind TT positioned the I/O ports on the side of the case. They're easily accessible this way. On the contrary, it does mean that there are better options if you're looking for a case to put underneath your desk.

A CPU upgrade (say to the 5700X) wouldn't be stupid, but again you wouldn't see massive improvements.

PCS FrostFlow 150 Series High Performance CPU Cooler Not the world's greatest cooler, but it'll do for the 5600 in this system. A 120mm AIO isn't a great choice Games as with any software constantly gets updated, that's why components are regularly updated. Your GPU has a lifespan where it will be able to perform optimally. After this time, to maintain required settings, you have to upgrade the GPU. This is the whole point of getting a gaming PC over a console, is the fact that you can keep it updated and maintain new generation performance and visual with new technologies and raw power that your existing card can no longer achieve.
