About this deal

The origin story for one of Peanuts’ most beloved characters, Franklin, follows how he approaches making new friends. Franklin’s family is always on the move with his dad’s military job, and everywhere he goes Franklin finds support in a notebook filled with his grandfather’s advice on friendship. But when Franklin tries his usual strategies with the Peanuts gang, he has trouble fitting in. That’s until he learns about the neighborhood Soap Box Derby race — according to his grandfather, everyone loves a winner! He’s sure that winning the race will also mean winning over some new friends. All he needs is a partner, which he finds in Charlie Brown. Franklin and Charlie Brown work together to build a car and in the process become good buddies. But as the race nears, the pressure mounts — can their car and their newfound friendship make it to the finish line?

Fans of the beloved Peanuts gang will have more classics available to watch from Mendelson/Melendez Productions and Peanuts Worldwide in the Peanuts Classics collection on Apple TV+, including “It's an Adventure, Charlie Brown,” “It's Spring Training, Charlie Brown,” Emmy Award winner “Life is a Circus, Charlie Brown,” “Lucy Must Be Traded, Charlie Brown,” Emmy Award-nominated “Play it Again, Charlie Brown,” Emmy Award-nominated “Snoopy's Getting Married, Charlie Brown,” Emmy Award winner “You're a Good Sport, Charlie Brown,” “It’s a Mystery, Charlie Brown,” “What a Nightmare, Charlie Brown,” Emmy Award-nominated “It's Magic, Charlie Brown,” Emmy Award-nominated “Someday You'll Find Her, Charlie Brown,” Emmy Award-nominated “Is This Goodbye, Charlie Brown?,” “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown” and Emmy Award-nominated “Charlie Brown Celebration.” Also included is “Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth,” the Emmy Award-winning television event based on the New York Times bestselling book and TIME Best Book of the Year by Oliver Jeffers and specials from Peanuts and WildBrain including Emmy Award nominee “It’s the Small Things, Charlie Brown,” “Lucy’s School,” Humanitas and Emmy Award nominee “To Mom (and Dad), With Love,” Emmy Award-winning “Who Are You, Charlie Brown?” and “For Auld Lang Syne.” What we looked at here was the presence of IgE antibodies to food that were detected in blood samples," said researcher Jeffrey Wilson, M.D., Ph.D., an allergy and immunology expert at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. "We don't think most of these subjects actually had overt food allergy, thus our story is more about an otherwise silent immune response to food. While these responses may not be strong enough to cause acute allergic reactions to food, they might nonetheless cause inflammation and over time lead to problems like heart disease." We previously noted a link between allergic antibodies to the alpha-gal red meat allergen and heart disease," Wilson explained. "That finding has been supported by a larger study in Australia, but the current paper suggests that a link between allergic antibodies to food allergens and heart disease is not limited to alpha-gal. In some ways, this is a surprising finding. On the other hand, we are not aware that anyone has looked before." Me *proud face*: well I did read midlife gap years are a thing. Nancy: and we’d defo all be honourables?

This was true even when traditional risk factors for heart disease, such as smoking, high blood pressure and diabetes, were taken into account. The strongest link was for cow's milk, but other allergens such as peanut and shrimp were also significant.

She’s like, and Dave’s Chinese friends? I’m like Mummy you know they haven’t been the same since you tried to sell the Xis a Pagoda Chinoiserie TV cabinet. Though they did just send another cringe panda cuddly. I’d dump it except you never know, when Dave’s gap year is over we might need to be their friends all over again.

Apple’s Peanuts feature is produced in partnership with WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide, and marks the first three-way partnership between Apple TV+, Peanuts Worldwide and WildBrain on a feature film. Among the NHANES participants, IgE antibodies to at least one food was associated with a significantly higher risk of cardiovascular death, the researchers found. This was particularly true for people sensitive to milk, a finding that held true among the MESA participants as well. Additional analysis also identified peanut and shrimp sensitization as significant risk factors for cardiovascular death in those individuals who routinely ate them.

Dave’s like, honestly listen babes – or should I say Lady Cameron of Chipping Norton! I’m like WTFF? He goes you know Shakespeare once said there are no second acts in something or other? Me: that was Jilly Cooper. That increased risk could be comparable to -- or exceed -- the risks posed by smoking, as well as diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis, the researchers report. Approximately 15% of adults produce IgE antibodies in response to cow's milk, peanuts and other foods. While these antibodies cause some people to have severe food allergies, many adults who make these antibodies have no obvious food allergy. The new research found that the strongest link with cardiovascular death was in people who had the antibodies but continued to consume the food regularly -- suggesting they didn't have a severe food allergy.
