About this deal

On the death of Cecily Mordaunt, this dysfunctional family gathers from far and wide to discover who the next owner will be.

Well written, with a plot and characters that haunt you long after you've finished. Jane Corry, author of I MADE A MISTAKE What an enjoyable few hours spent with this dysfunctional lot! The characterisation is excellent, they’re very definitely a mixed bag and they’re certainly not dull that’s for sure. The only thing I become invested in is that David and Bryony will not get their hands on it but I’m not telling if my wish comes true! The atmosphere is fabulous with assumptions, presumptions, deviousness, secretiveness and many resentments and issues abounding. All is most definitely not what it seems. The tension and suspense builds as we head to the reading of the Will with the author using the atmosphere of the house to add an extra level of anticipation. There are numerous twists, it’s darkly humorous it makes me smile as we head to the very unexpected denouement. Barbara Caine, author of Friendship: A History told The Atlantic in 2022 that historically, people didn’t really work in terms of “best friends”. She explained: “They referred to sentimental friends and beloved friends – but not best friends.” The author concluded that we should axe the term “best friend” entirely, in favour of a return to the old-fashioned way, viewing all our friends as “beloved’” She has also authored books, including her debut novel “Perfect Liars” and upcoming releases “The Power of Rude” (nonfiction) and her second novel, “Truth Hurts.”

Also, we have no idea about his brother and sister, and we don’t know their names either. But we are trying hard to collect all the information about him and will update you soon. Remember that invitation is not a summons, and you're allowed to turn down any social engagement you don't wish to attend, without a long-winded excuse.

The top-eight model was obviously an insane and very toxic thing to do – providing teenagers with metrics about how much people like them is about as stupid an idea as anything I’ve ever heard. But it was a demonstration of how friendships grow and shift and change from season to season (or perhaps that tech giants don’t have the kind of social skills which would make ranking your mates a nightmare). I didn't guess who would be left the house, and the way it was revealed / came about was better than I expected. There are currently six things left on my to-do list, which was making me feel a bit unproductive. But great news – according to MP Danny Kruger, I have in fact been achieving something all along, I just didn’t realise I was doing it. I’ve been making society unsafe. But when something goes badly wrong one night and Zadie disappears in the aftermath, Chloe knows she should have done more to help her friend. It's something she'll always regret.I didn’t know – why would I – that there’s no point in going to A&E if you think you might be having a miscarriage. When I eventually saw a (male) triage nurse he shrugged and told me: “Either it’s a miscarriage or it’s not. There’s no way of knowing. Go home and wait.” Joining Telegraph Media Group will launch your career to a strong start, whether you want to take your first steps in journalism or seek commercial experience in a fast-paced media industry. Each person is vividly drawn and complex, and there were so many surprises in store that I could not tear myself away until I found out who matriarch Cecily had found worthy to bequeath the old mansion to. The answer was also quite unexpected! Reid writes with insight and a vitality that made this story come to life for me, and I can’t wait to read more from her in future. With a reasonably large family group, it was easy to keep p with who was who. They each want the house, each one has t I disagree. I like the unabashed, child-like adoration that the term implies, the fact that it’s effusive and unguarded, with the same sort of emotional semiotics as “partner”, “husband” or “boyfriend”. A big, meaty, important label to slap on a relationship which is often as important, if not more important, than romantic love. There characters in this book are brilliantly depicted from the sweet and gentle Violet who, as it turns out, has hidden depths, to the overachieving Briony who envisages her husband's family home as an exclusive girl's school with herself at the helm. For one, their family home is Roxborough Hall – a magnificent, centuries-old mansion in the Norfolk countryside. For another, the house isn’t passed down from parent to child – but rather to the family member deemed most worthy.Who doesn't want to live in a very big stylish English manor house? Roxborough Hall in Norfolk is such a house, and although it's often filled with people, there are times that only one or two people call it their home.

Rebecca Reid worked as a freelance writer for the Telegraph, but she could make a good net worth from it. The Will is that rare kind of book that draws you so deeply into its world, that you start believing the characters are your real life acquaintances, and wondering what they’re up to. Perhaps that’s why I raced through to find out. Rebecca’s protagonists are complex, deliciously flawed, and utterly addictive.” -Jemma Wayne, author of After Before, To Dare and When I Close My Eyes. The house is a burden, a millstone, a full-time job . . . but they all want it. And some are willing do anything to get it. THE AUTHOR: Rebecca Reid is a journalist based in London. She is a columnist for the Telegraph women’s section and for Metro. She writes regularly for Marie Claire, The Guardian, Telegraph online, the Saturday Telegraph, The Independent, Grazia, Stylist, and the iPaper, and she appears regularly on Good Morning Britain, where she argues with everyone from Piers Morgan to Jameela Jamil about gender politics, social class, and sex and relationships. Her height is 1.77 meters, and she weighs 56 kilograms, with dark-darkening hair and eyes. Rebecca Reid remains an influential figure in the world of journalism and writing. Rebecca Reid Husband Marcus I hugely enjoyed The Will and found it very hard to put down. The characters are certainly not all likeable but they're all interesting and make you want to read on to find out what they're hiding. With a cast of upward of 11 main characters, most of who give their Points Of View and narrative throughout this book needs a ‘Cast List’ at the beginning,I managed without but did take me a good 25% to remember who was who and who had done what with who and how they were all related, that aside it is a good drama surrounding a stately home that is bequest to a family member on the death on the current owner,it doesn’t go on hierarchy or age just on who the present owner feels would benefit from the house on their departure from the world……you can imagine the chaos, bad feeling and resentment this causes ( it’s all done via a meal where letters are given to each person who could be in line to get the house )
