About this deal
If you’re going camping tomorrow, and you don’t have time to get a camp toaster or another tool, you can always use what’s in your kitchen. If you have a good pair of tongs that can handle being over high heat or an oil strainer, then you’re in toasting business! But please keep in mind that this toaster heavily relies on the strength of the flame. If the flame is weak then the bread may not toast well or take longer. If it is too much then you will likely end up burning the slices. People seem to find it slightly better quality than the others too. With no complaints of poor manufacture, rusting or warping. It seems reasonably priced given this quality of construction.
While buying a camp oven only to make toast might seem a bit unnecessary, this cooking tool is highly versatile.
Buyer’s Guide for Camping Toasters
Camping toasters don’t use any electricity but are powered using butane stoves that heat the toaster which in turn toasts the bread slices. If you have no equipment or are just feeling lazy, you can attempt to toast your bread directly over an open fire like you would with marshmallows.
They also sell both single and double sizes. The double is super helpful as it lets you toast two slices of bread at once (or make two toasties!). Although it’s an additional expense, they are incredibly affordable, so a camp toaster is well worth the small investment if you have the space. Best Camp ToasterCook your toast for 10 minutes or so. Flipping halfway is always a good idea to make sure it toasts evenly and that your toast is doing alright.
