About this deal

The couple bought the bed from a firm called Healthbeds based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire and will now use it in their new home at Kensington Palace in London. It is also interesting that Bosola considers Ferdinand's gift of a job as a “good deed” for which he should “avoid ingratitude,” since the move was clearly meant both to get Bosola close to the Duchess so he can spy, and to manipulate him into accepting Ferdinand’s bidding. Bosola finds himself acting from here on out in the devil’s world, where to do “what heaven terms vile” is best. His inability to see that there are other options, to stop following Ferdinand and the Cardinal so loyally, even after he recognizes the true nature of the “sins” that Ferdinand has candied over, leads almost every character in the play to despair.

Aiden made my heart ache in the best way. So many of Lorraine Heath’s novels give me this bittersweet feeling, because she really does put her characters through desolation and despair before the HEA. This one was no different, and Aiden’s mental anguish—not to mention his devotion to Selena—just made me want to hug him and make everything better. And somehow his suffering made him all the more compelling. Her Grace, Selena, Duchess of Lushing, has been recently widowed. Hers was an arranged marriage, but her husband was a good man and while she wasn’t in love with him, she did love him and is genuinely grieving for him. Or she would be, if she had the time to grieve, but she doesn’t, due to another pressing concern. She and Lushing have no children and he came from a family that was not only short-lived, but also not prolific when it came to procreation. Thus, there are no male heirs to his title or the wealth that goes with it and everything will pass to the crown, leaving Selena with a comfortable income, but not one comfortable enough to enable her to ensure her sisters make good matches. Her brother, the Earl of Camberley, spends most of his time and money gaming and living the high life, despite the parlous state of the family finances, so there will be no help for her sisters coming from that quarter. But Camberley comes up with an incredibly risky plan. If Selena can bear a child within ten months of her husband’s death, he or she will be recognised as Lushing’s legitimate heir. If the baby is a boy, he’ll become the next duke, it it’s a girl, the title will pass into escheat, but the entailment is constructed in such a way as to allow a female to inherit the wealth and lands of the dukedom and will thus retain an elevated position in society. Bosola’s lines here are also interesting because of how they contradict what he has said earlier. When Ferdinand first hands him money, Bosola doesn’t hesitate to ask, “Whose throat must I cut” (1.1.240), yet when Ferdinand tells him he does not want him to kill but to spy, Bosola expresses sudden and vehement opposition, saying, “should I take these, they’d take me to hell” (1.1.256). Yet now, when looking upon the corpses of the Duchess and her children, he changes his tune--”other sins only speak; murder shrieks out.” He has not yet shown true regret for what he has done, but perhaps he has begun to see just how dark his deeds were.

Inside the Royal Train

He slammed his eyes closed as those five words— fall in love with you—words no other woman had ever bestowed on him washed over him, through him, around him. How powerful they were. How humbling. How breathtaking. For once I was not sure how this would end, I mean it is romance so I knew they would end up together but how? As well as her three grown-up children – Tara, 58, Sacha, 56, and Katy, 50 – Joan loves spending time here with her four grandchildren: Tara’s children Miel, 23, and Weston, 19, plus Sacha’s daughter Ava Grace, 18, and his baby girl Deia Shanaya. Did this installment live up to expectations? In one way it did - I fell even deeper in love with Aiden Trewlove who had such an inate goodness, a sweet decency that just pulled at my heartstrings. At the same time he was sexy and very physical which provided some really hot scenes throughout this story. I loved his protective sense and the love he had for his family was heart-warming.

Throughout the play, the Duchess’s own good nature seems to blind her to the true depths of brothers' evil. Not long after this speech, she tells Antonio in regards to them: “All discord, without this circumference,/Is only to be pitied, and not feared” (1.1.459-60). This analysis proves to be very wrong indeed. But in this speech, she admits that this is a “dangerous venture,” and goes so far as to compare it to war, showing the audience that it is not only her ignorance of the true danger of her marriage that leads her into it. Her love for Antonio is such that she proceeds even knowing what could be at stake. At Rezare, take the first left (here you'll see a sign saying unsuitable for wide vehicles) and after 30m bear left again on to another narrow road. Follow this road for about 100m and you will see the first entrance signposted Duke. This is also where you'll park for Maiden and Wisteria Cottage.

This is Aiden Trewlove’s story. Fans of the series will remember he is the brother who runs Elysium— the highly improper getaway for ladies. It is there Selena approaches him with a very indecent proposal. Ferdinand leaves, and Antonio, thinking he is betrayed, enters with a pistol and accuses Cariola of giving them away to Ferdinand. She pleads innocent, and the duchess says Ferdinand intends for her to kill herself with the poniard. Bosola enters as Antonio leaves, and the duchess tells him Antonio has “dealt so falsely with me, in’s accounts,” by letting bonds she and Ferdinand had issued go into forfeit. Bosola exits, Antonio enters again, and the duchess tells Antonio her plan is to send him to Ancona while she accuses him of “a feigned crime,” which she justifies by explaining that her noble lie “must shield our honours.” She promptly makes her accusation before Bosola and some officers, and proceeds to punish Antonio with banishment. Bosola protests her decision by saying that Antonio “was an excellent courtier, and most faithful,” a modest, virtuous man.
