About this deal

Following the closure of schools in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the DfE (Department for Education) announced that the 2020 KS2 SATs would be cancelled. Children take Key Stage 2 SATs papers in English Reading, Maths and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. These scaled scores are then passed to parents and show whether their child has reached the expected standard, exceeded the expected standard or fallen below it. Why do KS1 SATs exist?
